Apparently the grid is offline.

I'm in, but can't teleport or do any searches on find, and going to secondlife.com redirects to /status and says it's offline. Did someone bomb the party?

I relogged and can't get back in now. I was unable to rez anything out of my inventory and my island said that it was not visible from mainland.

hmmmmm

Then maybe my problems rezzing or controlling anything in my apt. was due to this? I'll try back later.

I tried to log in on another browser and got ..Second Life Offline for Database Maintenance or Update

Most crashed... yepp.. find died.. TP died.. have a great evening i shower and go out IRL.. happy that I dont have a huge business depending on SL..

Nobody seems to know why the grid is down, but we're still in and waiting patiently.

Pings of 15,000 on both client and sim on my end - but still connected at 1.6fps.

I'm just wondering if someone decided that the birthday party was prime time for bringing the grid down with another virus. It'd be like griefer candy.

I was just in-world at the parade in Brilliant. Total madness! Beautiful, shiny, colorful madness. Couldn't TP or do much of anything except marvel at the creative enregy that is SL. I hope that the problems clear up for the rest of the events there today.

I was fine when I was logged in, I just couldn't rez anything all of a sudden, except, and this is funny, my Grim Baby, lol. So I logged out.... now I can't get back in.

I'm inworld but my GF can't get back in. The mainland appears empty but the large connected island north of the mainland and the islands have people on them.

Haha, yeah. I was in and fine, then suddenly couldn't teleport off this island or look up anything. I haven't tried rezzing from my inventory yet.

Of course, if this is a griefer attack, all the forum fussers will be going 'OMG LOOK WE TOLD YOU SO SEE REGISTRATION CHANGES RUINED EVERYTHING.' Of course, anybody remember all the nights before major upgrades when griefers tore the grid apart over the last year?

On the flip side, I seem to be one of the few people who can still rez stuff from inventory, I'm just stuck on this island now.

I was inworld at the Grand Parade (at the Second Life 3rd Birthday site in Fortuna) and I noticed my From: email stopped autofilling in, so that's when I decided to relog... which brings us to the present.

Just wanted to let you guys know.

I haven't made any new cleverly named alts with the new registration system, I already had one from a long time ago. I should get on that bandwagon. I checked a few days ago though and all the last names sucked.
