The person who buys the most SeigeBots wins.

siegeBot was discontinued, so the only winner is me.

Can SL make me earn real money?
Then how this happens?

You need to go back to your boss and tell him he picked the wrong game to try to farm money in. Tell him to try another.

I have always said... beyond a shadow of doubt, the best way to make money in SL is to... um... create a new and improved... boy thingy... to keep it PG... and sell it.

I think the truth is even more amusing and horrible than that - "boy thingies" in SL are now branded, and won't.. um.. work with.. any "girl thingies" that aren't made or licensed by the same person.

That's why XCite! holds onto its lead so well - it's a network effect market. It's also a "darkly humorous" sci-fi film in the making.. :)

... and then LL nerf the very feature or function that makes your product viable and you're back to the drawing board.
Oooh, good idea, you should add that to Feature Suggestions to ensure it never happens. :p

Either you can get a job and/or make something.

I'm selling stuff and I'm starting an SL job today. I just hope I make enought to make SL pay for itself so I can buy land.

I started my own SL business a little more than a month ago, but it's by no means making anything I would dare call a living, unless $0.25-0.50/hour is a living somewhere. It helps cover membership and tier fees, and in the end that's really my goal..... anything above that is bonus (last month I managed a $4 profit, yay!). :)

But in the end, you work like a dog to make your content and then, unless you have an already established (and huge) operation, you're not going to get back the USD for the amount of time you put into that product.

Personally, I script for fun, earning a little money is the salad to the chicken, but I wouldn't dream of "making it big". Second Life is a psuedo-game, if it becomes a job, it would cease to be fun.

Scamming seems to work pretty good, according to most people.

Your location is shown at the top of the screen, in the middle, to the right of the word Help.

In fact, you might try clicking the word Help and then selecting Live Help, then ask for help there. Tell them you need a mentor or greeter.

I sent you an invitation to the NCI group already, and already offered you a teleport to where I am, at the Waterhead welcome area.

I'm going to assume you either are serious or can stretch an already well worn joke for days past funny.

Here's my advice assuming you're serious:

Log out.

Uninstall SL.

Go do something else.

Your average five year old could comprehend and achieve more in SL than you apparently have in the time you've been here. And language or inexperience is no excuse for not even trying to understand or follow the advice you've been given - those people who have been kind enough to actually have attempted to help you, you have entirely ignored and continue to parrot vague questions, expecting everyone to do your work for you - and you're apparently not even doing it because you have any desire or inclination to be here, but because it's your job to. So why should anyone take any time out to help you in any way at all? Especially when you are apparently so dismissive, ungrateful and demanding of their time and effort without really giving any idea what the hell you want to know.

Oh, and maybe the 'something else' you should go do is find a job - if I did any job as poorly as you appear to be doing yours, I'd expect to be fired immediately.

And here's my advice assuming you're not serious:

Get another joke. This one is old, and it wasn't funny to start with.

I think the last reply broke through the "translation barrier" as there as been no more whimpers from Son Bayliss since June 20th.

I am actually quite astounded to have found this thread go for 10 pages!

SL people certainly have great patience and kindness in them to help others! :-)
