I already told you.

step 1: mine for gold in Gibson
step 2: pay Enabran Templar L$400
step 3: Enabran will give you the amulet of greater prospecting
step 4: you will make as much as US$500 a week mining for gold in SL

good luck!

Where is Gibson?
How to find it?

Alright....here's the deal.

There is no point to this "game."

You do not win or lose it. There are no points to gain. There are no levels.

Nothing. It is not a game at all, really , in the conventional sense.

It is recreation. A pasttime. Maybe something more.

You can make things to buy or sell if you want. Or you can make them just to have fun. Or you can not make anything at all.

There are no monsters to fight, unless you make them yourself. There are no quests, unless you decide there is.

Can you log in?

Have you talked to any people in the game?

That's it. That's all you have to do to do what most people in Second Life do every day.

This game is like real life.

You meet people.

You take classes to learn.

You use what you learn to make things or to have a job.

If you want to you can own land and a home or start a business selling the things you make.

There are clubs and stores and parks and all the same kinds of places in Second Life that you can find in real life and even some things you will never get to see in real life.

The point is to explore and learn and meet people.

But there is no prize to win. There is no monster to fight. There is no last level to beat. It is not like other games.

When you've installed the second life client, click the icon and start up.

I'll be in game for a few minutes, until this g*ddamn headache goes away, so feel free to IM me. Or I'll look out for you.

I am not here, though, to help anyone figure out how to make money. I don't even know how to do that myself.

You're not troubling me.

But we're not communicating well. It's a language issue.

Let me just ask you: Do you have the Second Life Client installed?

You should see a green hand on your desktop.

Is that icon there?

Alright, now double click it.

It will take a few seconds to start up.
There will be a space for your name, type "Son Bayliss" there.

And there will be a space for your password. You know what that is.

Let me know if you get this far. I have a few more minutes before I go to sleep.

Exactly what kind of computer do you have?

(You're lucky I can't sleep tonight) :)

And no video card at all? What does that mean? Do you get an error when you try and run Second Life?

Trust me, you have a video card =)

The best thing to do is try running SL at the settings it gives you when you first turn it on.

There are some cases where you will not be able to log in because the video card you have is too old, but these are rare.

I know its a little much, but if it does not let you log in, try updating your video card drivers. Do that only if it does not let you log in.

Unsupported Graphics Card

If you are receiving this message, your graphics card may not be compatible with Second Life. Attempting to use Second Life with your current system configuration may cause the program to crash or become unresponsive. Minimum system requirements are listed on the Second Life Support web site:

http://secondlife.com/support/

If you are using a supported video card, contact the manufacturer to obtain video driver updates. Video driver updates for ATI and Nvidia graphics products are available for download from the following web sites:

http://www.ati.com/
http://www.nvidia.com/

Finally, try setting your display to "True Color (32-bit)" under Control Panels, Display before running Second Life.

Then what shall I do now?

Well you can try changing the color settings as suggested, but it looks like you have to buy a new card if you wish to play.
