I do have to say it is embarassing when I invited my RL buddies from high and far this past week to come look at my 62,000 square meter mall (my plug: Big O! Mall in Baekje)...

and the service is down 3 times in 8 days, not counting this morning. Secondly, it sure makes recreating your buildings twice after rollbacks frustrating.

Does this help clarify why some folks may be a bit perturbed? I am not mad about it because I think they are doing what they can to remedy the issues and I truly believe Linden wants SL to be better for us all. Where I think we all agree is the implementation of the updates is not smooth and the long downtimes (with rollback) can waste a lot of time, money and energy.

Its a great product with great things to come...sometimes the pioneers need to walk through the mud...

The foundation of the house is sinking, the pipes under the floor are leaking, the door locks don't work well so anyone can come in and take things, but they painted the fence and put a flamingo on the lawn.

Does this mean I should be happy?

My 2L$ worth after 2+ years in SL

The bugs are annoying. The exploits unforgivable.

That said overall I still love it. Yes I do take breaks now and then and return to other online environments. But that is more because I get burned out on anything without breaks. I always come back renewed and ready to make new things and discover new adventures.
