End This Now

Disturbing the Peace: Every Resident has a right to live their Second Life. Disrupting scheduled events, repeated transmission of undesired advertising content, the use of repetitive sounds, following or self-spawning items, or other objects that intentionally slow server performance or inhibit another Resident's ability to enjoy Second Life are examples of Disturbing the Peace.
From the Wiki. The ejection and banishment of the two individuals concerned was in direct relation to the above. The above is an example of griefing. The conversation, about a vendor which has now been REMOVED by the OWNER of their own accord, was disrupting a scheduled event. Patrons were leaving because their ability to enjoy Heaven was being inhibited. They were asked to use IM by a registered officer of the group holding the land the event was being held on, they ignored the request. People continued to leave. they were ejected for Griefing: Disturbing the Peace. Once ejected, they continued to disturb the peace from from adjacent land using shout to hurl abuse. They recieved a ban from the groups land. That is what happened. Get over it. _____________________

Nicely put, Slavko. Except, your description is not the most accurate there is.
![]() As a person who was there at the time of the incident, I can attest that the two refered individuals have been merely discussing among themselves the rather curious fact that the items on the vendor were ridicusly over-priced. The owner of said vendor have captured some art off the web, uploaded for 10L$, and placed for sale for 150L$ each. This somewhat strange idea for a price tag have promped both said individuals to express their surprise and mock the owner of the vendor in a humorous fashion. They barely exchanged around 4 to 5 lines, before resuming their silence. A couple of minutes later, the moderator-who-shall-not-be-named have decided to eject and ban these individuals without even providing an explanation, other then "your IM is being ignored". Their offense: joking about an over-priced vendor. When you view these facts in this light, it suddenly makes one wonder why does Usagi Musashi is even bothering to raise such a fuss in the forums. It also raise the question for how could anyone, honestly, refer to the incident as "griefing". If the act of discussing a curious choice of over-pricing a product is concidered to be "malicious griefing", then I recommend that you act now and report all known pro-consumer groups to your local authorities, before these notorious folks have a go at publishing their vile poison furtherdown the communication networks. |

Get over it. I am glad that you've finally chose to get over your situation and conclude this little theatre presentation. This is especialy commendible, oncidering how you have been the ones who have chosen to raise the fuss in the first place. ![]() Cheers for getting sensible! |

You could have atleast met with her and discussed which parts you want to lie about and add in to make it look like we were being a-holes. Of course, you weren't even there so I imagine you got most of your "facts" on the matter from Usagi. It's kinda hard not to "disturb" a scheduled event in Heaven too, since you guys literally run an event an hour, which means every minute of that place is a scheduled event. _____________________

Put it down on the feature-vote. I'll spend some points for it.

moved to Linden Review

this thread appears to be devolving into personal attacks.
i'm not sure what actions should be taken, so i'm moving it to Linden Review. not sure if posts should be edited or if the thread should be closed.. or allowed to carry on for that matter, but i doubt that will be the outcome. _____________________
