You know you've been spending too much time in SL when... :)

When you look at your car.. get bored of it and are isntantly expecting it to turn into hover mode.. or boat mode.. and it won't. Damn you second life!

When you're in any other game (gasp, I know) and you're trying to alt-look everywhere and realize pressing alt to look everywhere isn't doing anything.

When you look out of the window, the sky is grey, it's chucking it down with rain.... and you think "CTRL SHIFT Y should clear that up".

Also, you spend too much time in SL when you pay your neighbors, friends, etc. to stay in your house, solely to generate dwell.

You look at someone in RL and are instantly confused as to why you don't see their name/title.

You'd rather email someone with the Pearbook than with an actual email account.

you don't like the look of a building, so you reach out your hand, trying to alter it's shape, and expecting particles to come from your hand.

You attempt to type a message to someone in RL.

You carry around a large rifle, and when the police arrest you, you say, "It's okay officer, i haven't even typed 'Unsafe' yet!"

You notice a lack of Impeach Bush, "Patriotism means keeping your mouth shut," Land baron signs, and other eyesores.

You visit a real life casino, and are disappointed with the lack of camping chairs or pay jewelry.

You notice a building under construction, surprised that there isn't even a trace of plywood ANYWHERE!

You find your house missing, and blame it on the asset server.

you try to CRTL-SHIFT-click something in another 3d game, like Runescape. This has happened to me.

Okay, I have a few I've done.

I've dreampt about SL.
I was typing to my msn friends and tried to use the /me for a action!
I try to use in game gestures in real life, like the funny dance ones, before realizing what I'm doing.
I told my brother yesterday to delete something IRL but I forgot what it was, but we both cracked up.

Am watching TV and consider useing the 'cam controls' to look around corners in the movie

when you try to create a prim with a wave of your hand

when you try to stretch a brick

when you jump and try to fly

... you see one of those all white, store window mannequins undressed in the window and you think "Hmm, she hasn't rezzed yet".

Your driving and cross a state line closing your eyes cuz you know your going to get bounced back.

You get thrown in jail for attempting to change your clothes in a public place.

You walk into a store and wander why nothing on the shelves can be easily bought right there. OH WAIT.. you have to bring it to the register.

Or worse call yourself by your SL name.

Out loud.

At work.

In a project meeting.

With the client.

(Good thing my SL name and RL name sound real similar.)

When I try to alt-click on something outside of SL.

GRRR! I hate when I do that.

Or when you try to read someones profile... XD
Hmm i like that persons shirt. I wander what we have in common. Oh well...

How about when you're walking to class... and suddenly decide to Power-walk. >.>

Or just when your standing with a group of friends, waiting for your turn to talk... and just start doing random SL gestures/dances.

Or just... doing SL gestures at all IRL. >.>

Hmm, let's see....
1) When you want to edit something so you pull on it as hard as you can
2) When you want to make a new outfit for yourself but realize you can't just materialize it out of nowhere
2.5) When you shop for said outfit and wonder why it doesn't just automatically shrink/stretch to your size
3) When you're walking around IRL and forget what expression you have on your face. (In my case, I may log into SL with my eyes closed and walk around as such for a while)
4) When you completely restrict yourself to using debit because it's like the finance system in SL

when family members get accounts to find you....

I was out with friends from SL IRL and did not answer to my own name, I only responded when Spin said "Hey Thought!" now that is too much time.

I do that all the time..

when you're on a date and you take her back to your place. while inside, you look for the naughty pose balls or your xcite items.

randomly accepting strangers as your friends

told your gf/bf you can't dance because you forgot your chimera or dance machine

Look out at the building site next door, notice the red plastic warning fence at the edge and think:

Hmm, forgot to turn off viewable property lines again.

You fantasize during the day of hitting the lottery and what you would do with all those sims you could have.

You try to use your mouse scroll wheel to zoom in on a photograph.
It fails.
So you tap the 'esc' key a few times and try again.

Your car fails to start and it takes a moment of not getting anywhere before you remember that its not sound lag.

You realize that you have absolutely nothing to do when the grid goes down. (And thus keep an MMORPG subscription as a backup.)

You've sat bored in a club or bar thinking how much more fun you'd be having in your usual haunt on SL.

You only post on the forums when the grid is down because at least here you'll know right off when it comes back up.
