Thats an odd picture. Is that 2 avatars colliding? It looks like the guy has on a pair of jeans and a white shirt which happens to have an image of a blackshirt, skydiving stuff AND another pair of jeans on it.

Interesting. I would really like to see some linden explanation of this. Not that I expect they will, given the right to privacy and such. But until this moment I thought SL's big attraction is that it is better than active worlds, and would be more likely to draw outside business in.

Mine are from AW. Wuvme's are of the original SL sim.

Here are some images from both versions of Stagecoach Island. I tried to match the angle.

Another very instructive thought experiment: put yourself in the shoes of the middle manager at Wells Fargo responsible for the Stage Coach Island project in the weeks following the update to 1.7. Nice feeling, eeh? Such snafus simply don't happen with a professional project for a large brand client!

And when they do happen, heads are rolling.
The ability of a griefer to take the whole grid down probably doesn't put LL in a very positive light in terms of system security.

Well I looked through the clothes, it doesn't seem any of it is from SL. There was an odd corset store. I bought a blue one for you Aimee. Actually the stores are nice, they have streaming music in them as well. Here I am dancing in one of the stores:

I really really really have a hard time believing they got permission from everyone involved in Stagecoach Island in SL to port their graphics and designs over to AW. Or even that they had the forethought to put it into the contract you may or may not have signed.

At this point I'm becoming more disappointed in how Wells Fargo chooses to conduct themselves in this ongoing project, than in SL's being able to retain them. Again, I certainly don't have anything to base my judgement on besides the screenshots and what people have said in this thread - but either there's a really convoluted story that we may or may not ever know about, or Wells Fargo is acting in a very shady manner.

And hopefully not too many or it might crash the sim.
I'm surprised no one mentioned this as a reason for leaving yet. Wells Fargo was up almost exclusively during the worst periods (lag-wise, no texture-wise, and impossible-to-sign-on-wise), of SL's history.

How can you run a corporate site that is never useable or accessible? I would bet that this fiasco is drectly attributable to the failure of LL to provide a consistently useable platform.

Wells Fargo just went with... "clunkier, but it works."

Since they already paid for the content it must have seemed like a no-brainer descision in the boardroom. Hire two teenagers to transfer the content over (thus the screenshot), and voila!

Edit: I see Pham mentioned this first :)

Kind of a bummer to see all this nice work go over to sit in Active Worlds.

Where, I believe I read in off-topic some time ago, uttering the words "Second Life" was reason for getting kicked off the game. (Or am I thinking of a different game?)

This is one of the clothing stores, called NOOBS:

Ugh! I find the very name putrid, "NOOBS". It sounds condescending. I have a better understanding why we have the term "Resident" here. That pseudo-psychadelic image above the name looks a bit creepy too, kinda like one of those horror movie monsters that crosses through walls and pulls victims into them. (I'm sure the clothes provide an effective distraction.)

Some of this texture-grabbing reminds me of shoddily-made, cheap-ass, Thai counterfeit products. I mean, I don't mind the cheap-ass ones so much as the kinds that are shoddily-made too.

It doesn't reflect well that this appears to be a pale imitation of the content that was originally in SI in SL, altho I'm sure it saved $$$. :p

I would totally assume they did get all the permission. Those people made something like $40,000 U.S., I think it was, to provide content. That content then becomes wholy owned by the people who bought it, and it's kind of normal to have contracts that say that. It's what the Lindens do - when they bought my house (which they don't even technically have to do) for their promotion, it was understood that it became theirs, lock, stock, and barrel, to use whenever or however they wanted.

I don't think Wells Fargo is acting in any sort of a shady manner. They've just taken what they purchased and gone to a place they think will work better for them.

Not to mention Girls Of Midnight City XVII. A classic, that one.

O, BTW, what Cris mentioned earlier in another thread about odd proportions had me wondering about this on the registration page:
