From: Oryx Tempel I suggested in the Blog that they add poseballs to the trolley benches; they should be able to seat 3 or 4 avatars on each side. As it is, if one person is seated, others might get "No room is available to sit here" type messages. DUH LL. It doesn't really care where u click, it just keeps the first spot available until it reaches 8 av's (the limit is not really the place available.. but the prims, since it is physical), then you get the message "no more places...". If you get that message with none sitting so it means (i guess here) that probably ghosts remained aboard and the counter didn't reset the "new numba" on a (never come) unsit.. i believe a periodic check would be needed.

Maybe the Lindens or some enterprising builder should offer some kind of small house or shop that would look nice there. Bay city compatible... or something like that.

Third Visit
05-12-2008 21:25
Just returned from my third visit to Bay City. Thank you, Sling, for telling me where to find the maze. And thanks to tips on this thread from Marianne, I got through it fairly easily, except I didn't get the necklace. Oh well... The most fun was happening upon Marianne there! Didn't have the trouble with lag I'd experienced in other parts of Bay City previously.

Finally started checking out Bay City. Not bad! Nicely laid out. I love the archeological site. Just not the kind of neighborhood for me. Well, maybe if I was buried at the site.

I happened to be looking around on the ol Wiki page and noticed this: This shows some of the future expansion, I tink, with "hub island" an another undefined land mass above docklands. I note also dat you can see a spot where it's likely to continue to frieght rail out of Bay City, northward. This might explain why the depot is seemingly unfinished. I suspect thismight tie into Michael Linden's "4th quarter" rail plans. If there is gonna be a hub up there, as well as expanded (and presumably working) rail service into Bay City from some other space, then I suspect that Docklands land is gonna eventually be worth its price, no? I am curious as to what it in the plans up there. Right now, I dunno if they have that much space to expand up there without moving islands, no? Where will that be going to? could that rail, presumably, make its way to the edge of the atoll? Also, might this another space to watch for Magellan? We know he's been in Docklands before... Mari

From: Marianne McCann I happened to be looking around on the ol Wiki page and noticed this: Michael showed that piccie at his office hours a while back now when talking about what Bay City would end up looking like (wasn't paying much attention though ). His office hours are at 3pm today so you could just go and ask .
