Yes, and there is a huge war going on right now between the different sorts of "conservatives" -- between the Mike Gersons and the Ron Pauls of the world --as to what the "ideal" means. Yet despite that, the only viable political vehicle for any of them is the GOP, until the non-Jesus conservatives found their own viable political party, separate and apart from the Baptist Convention that the GOP has become. So while I agree with the distinction you make in theory, in political practice it isn't really relevant on the national level at least.

As much as I rally against LL for the way the do "improvements" and on some of their more inane "policies", they created a playform in which we can meet, prosper, socialise, etc, etc, all contained only by our imaginations.

I'd cut the joker of that bogus "Jesus site" more slack if he had pulled truthful facts. Read the captions under the pictures on that site. Not a single one is true (aside from the data about RPGers). No where in SL does a person have to do "the work of the devil" to "advance" into SL by doing tasks for a Rudy J box. Nor is there any LL place that teaches kids how to cut/use/sell cocaine.

Just like that "News Media" issue a few months back about the pediphiles, I'd lay money that this clown made all his own "evidence" just to take the pics.

So he can preach the holy high ground all he wants, but concidering he's a liar, means his word doesn't stand up for much. If he is religious (and I'd be willing to bet that was a lie as well), then he can look forward to a nice long chat with the Big G on judgement day.

Morons like that are what turn people AWAY from religion these days.

Satire amuses the intelligent and angers the stupid. That's the whole point. Take that as you will.

If it's a satire, it's fairly lame in that aspect of humour, imo.

If it's truth, it points out the stupidity of the human race.

This article, to me, just comes off as an extremist rant. The infortunate thing about this kind of satire, if that is what it is, is there are people who will believe that what is presented as fact in the article is true. Perhaps that was the intent, to stir up the unwashed masses by pressing a few hot buttons.

I bet the writer was banned from Second life for doing god knows what with lamps and animals, and now is just venting like an idiot.

I think the reason people dont automatically pick up that its satire is becuase there ARE real non-satire websites that rememble the OP's posted site.
