They are only jumping in on the SL bandwagon because they think it'll get them some exposure in the news and make them look "hip" and "trendy".

I don't know if the griefers will bother with this one, I bet you have to go to one of CNN's orientations and be signed up in order to send them "stories".
Oddly, they've scheduled their first orientation for a time when a lot of players who have RL jobs will not be available - 5 PM eastern? Late for Europe, too early for most of the US and South America. Of course any US and south american kids who happen to be griefers will be able to make it! |

Yes, I read it, that's why I posted what I did. I know I was being silly, but I really think this is the kind of stuff people might wind up doing. Sending CNN junk. What can possibly be of that much importance in SL that needs to get out to CNN? Either I'm missing something about being here, or they think things are far more interesting than they appear to be. Warda probably is right, they are going for the "hip and trendy" crowd, but in the end, what they don't realize is most of us are here to have fun, make friends, explore, maybe do some business. I certainly do not want to bring the problems of RL such as having to worry about politics, crime and CNN into the mix! I come here to escape from all of that!

Lol! In another forum, someone posted a convo they had with one of the CNN staff at the sim, where the staffmember mentioned wanting to do a story about having a prim baby, and then a followup story where the prim baby explodes after LL does an update. LOL!
I suppose people could send them real reports, tho. A few from this last week on the forum: -- The passing of one of the duo behind Last Call/Ginny Talamesca(sp?) -- M2 in financial straits -- Griefer "tracker" weapons slated for doom!
