Group Land 1 linden charge error?

Definitely something odd going on. I do randomly get the L$ charge for the Forum Cartel group, but I never get charged for the groups I'm in for various stores and today I did get hit with a charge for one of those (out of many).

Thanks for bringing our attention to it. I checked my account history and found a L$1 charge for the first time from a group I've been in for a couple of years. Better check to see if they've bought a search listing, ot this is part of the same issue.

I do not think it is search as it is only 1L. I wonder if it is some sort of "test" that is Group Chat Error related? *shrugs* guess we could all hit the old Live Chat button

None of my own groups but I did get this for the Forum Cartel today, I need to check things more carefully I guess, I wouldn't have noticed this because I have a couple of money trees and have a lot of L$1 payments going out.

Was it on Tuesday or Wednesday?

The Cartel is set to share group liabilities over the entire membership. If someone objects to the $1L charge, IM me in world and I will refund you 1L.

Got hit for L$1 from a group I just joined, that doesn't own any land. Why is this ok? And why aren't group owners posting notices about this sort of thing? Without my permission it is NOT ok to take ANY of my lindens!

Group owners aren't posting notices because they don't know about it. This is a brand new problem.

Is this happening to groups where the land is not set to group?

I wasn't objecting to the charge, I was pointing out that was the group liability charge I was dinged for today, my group liabilities usually go out on Tuesday, all my others ones did.

However I don't get the forum cartel charge on a weekly basis, not sure how they work out who gets charged when for that.

I haven't been in touch with anyone in the group yet, but according to the group details it was L$20.

mine was 3L



the three just magically is the same number as those liable for fees..

Group owners need to check their "everyone" role to make sure that Group Liabilities charges are not checked for that role.

That's normal Argus, it's on by default but if that were the case people would have been being charged for weeks and these charges wouldn't look odd.

I have not looked through all groups I am in, but one of my own groups shows this 1L$ thing...

This group is in nothing, no search, no places, no classifieds - hidden group, just for holding land setted to group.

In my other biz/land group is all normal, no new extra fees.

Ok, and in all other groups I am in is also all ok, I saw now.

So, in only one of my 2 own groups I see this 1 L$ thing...

I feel fingers in my pocket....and since I type here, they couldn't be mine...

You would be shocked at how many long-time residents do not know this, though. As to the mystery charge of 1L, that is new and does indeed stay on the Group Books. I'm betting this is a test concerning fixing some other issue.

Then we should be reporting this issue via ticket to SL?

Yeah.

There scheme was to steal rounded off amounts from people's accounts with the company. One of them was a company programmer and modded the code to take like .001 cent per customer.

See what I am getting at?

Err actually I had to raise a support ticket recently as after paying tier I had USD$1 left in my account and it vanished and they told me it was because different systems rounded up in different ways!!!!

As far as I know, it is random among the membership.

The reason we have group liabilities set is because if we sell the land, the proceeds will be divided among the membership.

I had a charge from one of my groups that I have never been charged in before. When I logged on, I checked and the "pay group liabilities and receive group dividends" was showing as applying to the Everyone role. I IMd the group owner and she was surprised and said that the Everyone role had been taken off of that long ago and she could not figure how it got set that way.

I think LL screwed something up.
