I went back and read the thread, and to the original poster - I agree w/Jig in that you might wish to amend your original post, showing your credentials (non identifiable - just as pertinent here), the purpose of the project, who you are writing it for, and (as I hinted at before) how we might go and read the resulting article. Sending a link to the finished work is standard when interviewing a subject. If it is for a psychology term paper, that may be different as far as sharing the results but it would be a courteous thing to do.

As far as calling the people you've asked to help, names like idiots and morons - it's also a courtesy to get a feel for the tone of a forum before posting and the tone here can be very humorous, and irreverent. People weren't being rude in giving you their thoughts as to your survey or even in poking fun a bit. JMO. A sense of humor never hurt anybody anyway...

I answered your OP because it did not ask for 'real life' info and above all because you said 'any help appreciated'. If you think about it, though, the people who posted with criticisms of your methodology were helping you too.
