Ever? Yes, for v1.22.11, Yes again though not since I installed it. I must have just missed it there, though it sounds like it is not helping with the problem, see below please.

It's under the text chat tab. It was added in 1.21 so you have it. In any case it doesn't touch the nod, the only time the viewer won't send that is if the chat is (only) an active gesture trigger or the channel is nonzero.
I am pretty sure that once you use the debug option, the nodding stops. I have to admit though I wear an AO most of the time so the last time I just tried the debug option without wearing an AO was way before v1.22.11. I claim that even if it doesn't do it on v1.22 or above, at some time in the past the debug setting *used* to stop both the nodding and the typing.

Really, honestly, truly, the two aren't even triggered in the same places, the PlayTypingAnim check is very narrowly scoped to the moment when one begins typing chat. The code that does these things hasn't changed since at least 1.13.

The nodding I thought we were talking about is the nodding you get whilst you are typing.
I certainly am not talking about any other nodding behaviour.
I will check next time I am online for myself but I am pretty sure on my PC that if I use the debug option my AV stands rock solid still whilst I am typing and if I turn it on, the typing anim is played and my head nods whilst I am animated typing.

If I am remembering wrong then it is no big beans is it?
I mean it isn't like the viewer will fall apart by them trying it and my advice being wrong.

I've put all three lasers in a box in the Coonspiracy, in the corner of the deck, free to copy.

The "v1.5" lasers need to be worn with their HUD. The prim one is just a prim.

No. I have the typing turned off in preferences. The nodding takes place after I hit "enter" to send what I have typed into local chat.

Apologies to the OP and others for misleading and being zero help at all. The only thing that stops my nodding is the use of an AO and a top priority stand animation. The debug setting does indeed seem to do exactly the same thing as the setting in preferences. :o
