Idiotic nodding

Yes - it's a shame that fingers cannot be animated in the SL avatar. You have a small selection of possibilities to pick from when you upload an animation, but they have never worked correctly. Although this has given rise to many jokes about "hands behaving badly" in SL, I'll give it a try and see if it can be made to work.

I'm rather intrigued by the notion of a Medusa stare animation. A sort of steely glare of disapproval and contempt, with maybe little lightning bolts shooting from the eyes?

Actually, come to think of it, it would be more useful to have that here, on the forum, than in-world.

Btw, AK, you know that you can just pull the anims you like out of your Outrider AO and combine them with the Vista ones (and any others) in your ZHAO, yes? Just making sure!

I like the nodding too. And I usually leave typing anim on; particularly in groups, it's handy to know who's gettin' ready to talk.

I believe there is a "shaking finger" gesture in the Library. Doesn't it have "No" in its name?

I think Tesla style eyes are available that would have a similar effect.

I dunno, I get loads of mileage out of my blowing kisses and kiss my ring animations inworld. What you need is a photo to insert in/to your posts whenever He Who Must Not Be Named acts up

Nika, yes, that's my intention. I have already had to do some weeding of the pre-loaded animations. I think I may have done that in error, though I can re-load them. I have this really bad noob habit of, when I'm in a location and I want to look all around me in a circle, I rotate the av instead of using the camera. If the av is in the middle of an animation that involved raising the hand, this results in some really interesting jerky arm waving. It was just in the last hour that I realized that hey, if I use the camera, that won't happen.

Well, hmmm. In the endless quest to help with the urgent needs of SL residents:

I believe Xcite's product line has plug-in capability. If so, the turning-to-stone part ... I assume involving rezzing a small marble platform below your feet while playing a Michaelango's David anim, or the like ... should be possible. The platform could die as soon as no avatar is colliding with it.

Scylla, however, would ALSO have to wear an attachment of some kind, to trigger the stone-turning, and so that the lightning bolts happen and are aimed at whatever part of you has the plugin.

And then, of course, she could choose from a set of really ... any ... anims for her new toy.
