I do not know anyone who wears polo shirts (if you mean RL, heck do not know anyone in SL that wears them LOL) This one is perfect (for guys who are looking for this sort of thing, that is). If it's not too much effort, I think you should try at least one line of shirts with this type of collar, but with the subtle patterns of the one before. They would be unique for sure. I have no idea how hard that would be or how they would sell. I just think it would show off your creativity. It might sell very well in a women's line. _____________________

thank you both
well... god only knows what I will end up doing LOL (I tend to get weird ideas (prim box shirt for example) so who knows where I will go with this) When studying polo shirts one thing I did notice was that a lot had the little emblem thing on the left chest area.... my thought was... why not do each basic prim type as an emblem... see weird ideas LOL but.. rest assured, something will be a result from the efforts, and if no one buys them... no big deal... after all, I had fun making them, and it gave us something to talk about, and I also learned something about polo shirts ![]() (and if they do not sell they make great lucky chair prizes, mm prizes, and guess and win prizes (but not basic buy for 0L freebies, I decided no more freebies, other than the prize things) (actually my plan for the prize things is to use those as a way to show the new products each time I put out something, a fun way to get something, and keeps the "games" fresh) So... thank you to everyone who commented about the polo shirt, with ideas suggestions and criticism it is all appreciated. _____________________

Caftans and peasant shirts are really difficult to find - for men or women. I once spent a whole day searching. hehehe was funny reading this i just made a peasant skirt the other day ![]() Casual slacks (for example, gray/black flannel) Khaki shorts appropriate for the Yacht Club Boat shoes that fit Various color turtleneck shirts that are not too tight Jeans that don't fit like running tights Button front shirts that are buttoned, and not white PS - anything that doesn't require the "inverted triangle" upper body look ![]() I have been working on a range of unisex stuff for a while now and this thread gave me some good ideas. Just thought id show a few pics (none are for sale yet, though the tuterlnecks will be soon ![]() ![]() _____________________

I think maybe polo shirts (we call them golf shirts in this part of the world) would look a little better if someone made one with a lot of wrinkles in the lower torso so that they didn't look so form fitting, and maybe used subtle prim sleeves to make the sleeves look a litt more baggy. Being so hot where I live, lots of guys wear golf shirts, but I rarely see anyone with a firm fitting one.
I like the prim for the badge idea. The Navy uniform I'm wearing in my profile picture has prim collar rank, name tag, ribbons and flight wings, and they look pretty good. Granted, you probably can't see it because the picture is so small. |

Heh. It wasn't "the badge is a prim", it was "the badge is a picture of a prim". Thats what I get for practicing "Demerol Posting." ![]() |

I do not know anyone who wears polo shirts (if you mean RL, heck do not know anyone in SL that wears them LOL) Really? They're ubiquitous as part of business casual around here. So I did some searching on the web, found some shirts to study, some not worn some worn, and this is the results The placket and points on that are really good, better than any I remember seeing in SL. I'd prefer a three button placket, at least two open, but that's just my taste. The rest of the collar shows the same problem I dislike in other polos, namely that the collar looks like it's just painted (or woven) into the shoulders, instead of surrounding the neck. Not being a clothing designer, I don't know if that's even possible. |

The prim design would work great as a small 'logo' on the pocket area of a polo shirt, I think, Rhaorth. And it's so appropriate for SL (the logo).
Good luck with your designs. |
