Apparently playing with my new treant from Grendel's a lot of people shouted on voice Omg I didn't realize that tree was someone and they say they got scared.

Alternative question: What was the scariest avatar you've ever seen?

Default Male Avatar

Whenever I see that guy, I'm not sure if he'll start flying into everyone, strip down to his kendoll and start flexing, or already be loaded with Mystitool and a pile of other things his main account gave him. (O_O)

I've seen people askered of me before, does dat count.

My crow avvie usually gets overlooked as being an avvie. I imagine the flying book, in a closed position, would do the same.

My brother big angel avvie is kinda skery, and one I spotted Flea Bussy in once, but made my Memnoch, left me awestruck.

oyah, But only a handful of times, (all original avies)
a little <--- vampire made me literally jump back, their AO, dress, manner! *EEK*of course my Pixie friend took it all in stride but I was "holy cats did you see that?!" I wanted to hide behind her for a sec ahaha ...yah I'm brave!
And I so wanted to take a pic of a monster truck of a demoness, but I swear they were intimidating! Like straight out of Hell and prob a million prims ...again the Pixie said "you should have!"
And of course my SL Partner of my 1st yr in SL, always an awesome fearsome avie, no matter what they are, talk about sit up hypnotized, I would be *duh* watching them appear or walk up...Didn't listen to that Pixie on that one either.

*Note to self* damn I really should listen to her!

No av, but I went to the Carnival of Doom by myself (I know, pathetic), and there's a building there where you walk through narrow hallways to look at 'freaks' and such. I kept thinking something was going to jump out at me, like in haunted houses you find in amusement parks. Nothing happened, so I basically freaked myself out.

Hey, I had the lights off in RL...

I was in a store by myself and a dude walked in from nowhere and stood up against me. His avatar was the evil "Pinhead" from the Hellraiser movies. When I shop, I like to use mouselook mode so I didn't see him at first. I turned to walk to another isle and smacked face first into him. I'll be honest and admit that he scared the "hell" outta me! He was a good 1 & 1/2 ft taller than me just to add to the thrill.
I typed to apologize for hitting him...he didn't respond. I walked to another isle and turned around and he was RIGHT THERE! Where ever I went, he followed. I figured out real quick that he was playing games with me. I was seriously creeped out so in a moment of panic, I closed SL and stayed out the rest of the night.

The thing about the carnival is that you have to scratch a little below the surface to find the gems. It's not meant to be an amusement park or to be simply looked at. And it does help to go with someone for some interesting results.

Once I saw 2 dinosaur avs getting it on.

When you see something like that, it can't be unseen.

I had an alt who worked as a store model for a while. Once I returned to her, and found some copycat creep taking pictures of her from all angles. So I selected a monster AV in my inventory, typed "/0CAN I HELP YOU?" into chat, and hit the return key and the "Replace Outfit" choice at the same moment. Dude stood there doing nothing for a good 30 seconds (curing which I stepped off the pose stand and roared), then disappeared.

Scary can be fun!

I've never been to Carnival of Doom. I went to a haunted house maze last night. Alone and bored I was looking for something to explore...turned off all the lights and went in. It was cool, kept me busy and interested for about an hour until I had to sign off. I was going to head back in tonight to try and finish the maze but maybe I'll check out the carnival instead....hot dogs sound good.

I had someone appear just outside my home once as a see-through high-tech mechanical skeleton, with a furry fox head and tail stuck on it. It was like watching a zombie walk into the room, so horribly torn up that it couldn't possibly live. It really got to me, and I had to leave. (I would have banned and ejected the person, but they were a friend of my SL mate...) I later insisted that the owner of that avatar NEVER wear it again on my land or in my presence.

Why do you think they went extinct?

I have one called a Mimic. Now that I look at that, it seems wrong...Hmm...I got it at Grendels. It's a scary looking monster thing when it's just standing or walking. It kind of floats along instead of walking. When it flies, it turns into a little steampunk-inspired flying machine that sprouts wings when it goes from hover to fly. When it sits, it turns into a treasure chest with jagged teeth. It turns into an anvil when it falls. Just a wonderful Avatar, but it can kind of freak you out a little if you aren't ready for it.

That would freak me out. I'm trying to figure out if the person who created that AV is male or female. Oh...and the naked noob behind her is icing on the cake in completing that very interesting photograph.
