ROFL and with xmas around the corner too ! <g>

Poor Johnny sat late in his room that night. Clutching a brand new issue of Silver Surfer. 'The story was great...', he thought, '...perhaps I could read it again to pass the time.' Johnny thought long and hard about the work Mommy had put into her 'second life.' He knew his Mommy did her best work this time of year to please her little ones. But this year was different. This year there was one less marshmallow in everyone's cocoa.

ahaha all this complaining cracks me up. You guys dont know how good you have it. This used to happen every single week. Plus its a bit insulting to watch you whine about this when there are so many other legit reasons to be pissed off at Linden Lab. Really typical.

Well, thank goodness this is just a pointless little online game and no-one's actually making a living off of Second Life, or else Linden Labs would be messing with REAL people's livelihoods and adding to a lot of people's genuine financial woes. Phew.

Sarcasm powering down.

Well actually people have become millionaires on this, and some people are making a lot of money in sl, and quitting there jobs, so they can devote to sl, no lie.

Because the half of the marshmallow supply were actually eggs, but because bird flu hit, the chickens died and the eggs went, henceforth there is one less marshmallow in the cocoa XD

Did you really expect anything better from these clowns?

Do you really think it's going to be working at 22:01? or even 23:01?

Even at 22:00 tomorrow, we're still going to be picking chunks out of our inventories, watching scripts misfire, wondering why the ****ing TP still(!) doesn't work, and walking round with half a set of clothes, a 70s haircut, and Partonesque moobs hanging off our virtual selves.

I think the word that springs to mind is... unfortunately completely unsuitable to be voiced in a public forum.

We tolerate this s**t because there's no alternative. But the day another company offers a remotely similar service (regardless of their customer service/technical competence/general affability,) is the day LL stock goes into freefall.
It could be a merger of Enron, Parmalat, Northern Rock and the Grand Temple of the Illinois Illuminati, and I don't see how they could go out of their way to aggrieve their customers any more swiftly and thoroughly than LL currently manage.

Johnny was a brave and noble young lad. He thought to himself, .o0(if mommy can make so much money as an escort on Second Life, maybe there is something I can do for the family.) The lost marshmallow was one thing, but what would be next? cabbage water? He ran to mommy's purse and, with good intentions, pilfered her driver's license! Little underage Johnny signed up with the name Prostistripper Little and verified 'her' immediately with the stolen driver's license numbers. "Just wait!", said Johnny. "Mommy wont be the only bread winning female avatar in the family!" ;)

Considering it's Tuesday, I'm surprised no one has asked if the downtime will affect the timing of tier payments.

I'm not a millionare, nor have I quit my day job YET (I am at my job now on my lunch break) but I am beginning to make decent money from SL doing sculpties for high end fashion shoes and antque victorian furniture. I hope that day comes so I can always be on SL...wait a minute! I would be so distracted in SL, that I would never get any work done...
