Don't forget an additional hour (give or take) before you'll be able to log back in (unless you're lucky) and a few more hours before things settle down (if they do at all).

You'll have more luck going to bed early and waking up early for some SL time than staying up waiting for SL to come back up :).

At this rate, my husband will be home from work, I'll be cooking dinner and my day off to spend inworld will have been totally borked, just like my inworld home is right now *sigh*

/me really needs time to fix that damn house!

man... now I have to do some real work. No more excuses. I think this is how LL get the employees to fix things. With the grid down they have to work for a little bit.

Ee, ya gotta use this handy downtime calculator:

Scheduled downtime + unforseen circumstances + poor original estimate + run for more duct tape - enough staff x 2

Or an additional 3 hours on average.

Well, thank goodness this is just a pointless little online game and no-one's actually making a living off of Second Life, or else Linden Labs would be messing with REAL people's livelihoods and adding to a lot of people's genuine financial woes. Phew.

This is so much better than every other Wednesday. Rather odd they did it on a Tuesday but nevertheless, lets all just relax and look forward to tomorrow. The way things are going, I would not count on doing much anyways after SL goes live.

Why don't some of you get out of the house. Go watch a movie. Golden Compass? I Am Legend? American Gangster perhaps?

It's SL way of keeping us all in the RL to take care of things that we've neglected from using SL..

Time to scoop the cat box out...

But see we fooled them, we're wastin' the day in the forums! Yeah us! We win!!

What's an SL addict to do?

I was going to take the day off and then saw the notice. I decided to take a half day anyway, figuring it'll be back up. Now what? Christmas shopping I guess.

I hate it when SL is down. :(

When did we switch from Wednesday to Tuesday for these outages? I started a project at 6:30 AM SL time only to be booted. I saw the notice a few days ago and just assumed it was a Wednesday. LL strikes again. I hope their not adding the buggy wind/light client as the main client. My computer will be very unhappy.

We're just gonna nip out for some lunch, OK? We'll just leave this PC to restart and then hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete and log back in to it when we get back. Barry's buying us lunch from Starbucks.
