Of course, but the game content is created by the users. Personally though, when I look at Manga I mostly notice people killing each other in awesome ways, and gigantic robots. I also think that those are the things most people enjoy in Manga too. Cartoon sex is just thrown in for the minority of buffoons.

Well I don't know much about Hentai, but I'm sure these people make up a minority of users. Personally I'm more interested in samurai and gigantic robots - and I think most normal people are too.

Well the boom of those that like Hen style of manga really is becoming a problem. In rl in japan there are many people that cant tell the diff between the real world and the the manga world. Is becoming a social problem here, just like it is around the world. So when i come on to sl and se the same social actions occuring in rl it gets tiring. Yes its those taht want to play ther role playing style. But when you have people mostlymen trying to have sex with you as they are dressed as women on sl and they are rally men. it becomes worse then rl and sexual harrasment.

In your example was it in this person's SL or FL profile? If it was in their SL profile, then I'd assume they were either RP'ing a cop or just confused about which info should be in which profile. If it was in the first life section, and it wasn't true in RL, then it would be dubious.

As for the furry sim, I think that's unfortunate. It's their right to run their sim however they want, and considering all the anti-furry griefing that goes on I can't blame people for being touchy, but it's ironic how easily people who feel persecuted become persecutors.

I have to say though, in my year and a half in SL, I've never actually met any of these people you're talking about. So I can only conclude that they are not, infact, as widespread as you believe. I have, however, met many people who roleplay samurai, ninjas and giant robots - or atleast what their Manga-adled brains have led them to believe samurai and ninja to be like, instead of just the mercenaries and hired thugs they actually were.

That point had occurred to me too. It's hardly suprising that some second life users view Japanese culture in this light - given that that's how the Japanese themselves are chosing to portray their own culture.

I don't think they portray women negatively - just as sex objects, that's all. What's wrong with that?
