I'm not here for role playing so what I say about myself in conversations or profiles is basically true. My av even looks a bit like the rl me (when I had thicker hair, fainter wrinkles, longer legs etc)
I tend to accept anyone else's version of their rl and SL selves and leave it up to them how much is role playing. If it turns out that any of it is a "lie" no harm no foul as far as I'm concerned.
But if someone who claimed to be a rl police officer got me to trust them to come over to my rl house and take care of a rl life intruder and then turned out to be a phony I wouldn't like them so much after that.

And by the way saying that your wife's arse doesn't look fat is only being a good husband. If you really love her you can make yourself believe it - at least part of the time.

What if they new Hukoto Shin-Ken and came over and made your intruder's head explode with just their finger then bowed and returned to their own home? Then your trust would have been vindicated even if they weren't really a police officer.

If you tell her it does look fat, she might stop eating cake and do some exercise. You do her no favours by lying to her.

All I can say in response to that is that when a fly lands on you and won't shoo no matter how many times you flail at it, you know it's time to have a shower. I speak from experience.

Presumably their wives lied to them and said they looked fine. If more people tell them they are fat arsed lardy pants they may do something about it.

You seem to be making the point that men are less reasonable than woman, who definitely do know when they are too fat no matter what anyone else says.

I'll agree that in general women tend to seem more emotional than men sometimes. And in a lot of cultures women who aren't slim enough probably feel more harshly judged about it than men. And women's bodies do tend to accumulate more fat and less muscle.

But I'm pretty sure that both men and women who have gained more weight than they really want make the decision to go ahead and have another piece of cake based more on emotion than logic.

True. When I was fat it was because I liked cake. But then I decided that eating cake was illogical, because I was fat. So I stopped eating cake and stopped being fat.

Life really is all just about the maths.
