True. When I was fat it was because I liked cake. But then I decided that eating cake was illogical, because I was fat. So I stopped eating cake and stopped being fat.

Life really is all just about the maths.

Congratulations on losing your excess weight! I've been able to do it too. I'd gained over 20 pounds and I didn't like it. But it did make me sympathetic to those of all genders ages and sexual persuasions who have trouble breaking the over eating habit. Eating is such a basic source of solace. - I'm in the mood for pie a la mode right now.

Mine made me completely unsympathetic, since I discovered that all the myths about how difficult losing weight was were just excuses for laziness.

Women are supposed to be more empathetic than men...

I've known lots of people of all kinds who were over weight but definitely not lazy. They just find it very difficult to over come the urge to eat.

Good night - I'm going to make some pie.

The trend now is " HI I am Japanese" I am sorry I don`t understand english so i can`t reply! :( " Well if i count that many with this kind of profile with fake or no photos the games name would be " JAPANESE LIFE" not Second Life. This is a new form of campers version of AFK and getting free money. Running 5 or more alts will of course they can`t talk. They have a bunch of Japanese text in their profile with no or little meaning because they use online translaters which most of the time don`t work correctly.

Unfortunately, in Western Europe and North America there has been a tendency to lose touch with our own culture - particularly our religious heritage - and to look east for solace. Consequently, Japanese culture has become inordinately popular in North America and Europe. Many Canadians, Americans and Europeans feel (quite mistakenly) that their own culture has little to offer them. Hence that song in the 80s about "Turning Japanese" (if anyone can remember who that was by, let me know) and the peculiar rise in the popularity of Buddhism amongst caucasians, along with an "easternisation" of so called "new age" religions like Wicca, that claim to be of European origin but are really just a manifestation of our sub-conscious obsession with the "Mysterious East".

I hope that's made things clear. Or obfuscated them further. Either way really.

Over all the BOOM of this cultural twisted manga world Japan seems to be tied to is noticedable when i walk to work and see woman western nerd girls dressed in Japanese Maid outfits or or degrading things. Japanese Maid Cafe is a boom in japan who do you think goes in to them here these days? Western manga lovers, So you are right in some terms.
I walk about 12 mins from the train to my office and if i count the number of maid cafes it would fighten you.

Well i think its opposite......Even the Japanese like myself are keeping our past but not all japanese are in the following of Buddhism these days. The trend to go away from Buddhism is what we are doing here these days. We are losing or ID as japanese based on the western views and thoughts about japanese.

Oh yeah! What's she gonna do - waddle after me and then crush me with her corpulent bulk!?

I'd like to see her try!

(I thought an over-active thyroid gland would have the opposite effect on body weight though.)

Actually, most of our western obsession with Japan is confined to samurai, ninjas and your advanced robotics technology. Extreme bukake porn is normally for domestic Japanese consumption only.

I don't doubt it. I have visited the maid cafe myself. However, that is merely an interesting distraction whilst on holiday. Plus one can hardly compare the maid cafe to extreme bukake porn. The two are very different, sadly.

Go to any babyfur website where people post real life pictures of themselves and see the disproportionate number of young Japanese men on these sites. There you will see the true face of horror.

I Myself have been following the Moral, and Ethical principles as laid out in the Hagakure (A close examination of the Practices of the bushido Code Dictated by a retired Samurai who deplored the Loss of Moral Focus of the young of the Samurai Class).

Unlike the religion i was Raised in, I found the Practices of the Code, or "The Way" as the Author calls it, to be Far more Clear, Concise, and Posative. I never really expect such beliefs and Practices to become Commonplace in North American Society as they lean heavily on Personal Responsibility and Honor. "Sins" in "The Way" are not so easily expiated as they are in Western religions. Rather than repeating the same Sin over, and Over again, and Gaining "Forgiveness" From Questionable sources via a Token act of contrition. Eastern religions Focus More on LEARNING from ones "Sins", and NOT Repeating Them.

For Myself, it's a much better way of Conducting My Life.

Back to the OP, I see people Confused by the Question.

We are in a Fantasy World, and I expect anything in the Second life profile to reflect a certain amount, if not total fantasy. People allow that it is OK for someone to say in their profile "I'm a Fairy princess" because, regardless of the mental State of the person, we are SURE that it CANNOT be true, it's their fantasy after all. On the Other Hand, someone saying in profile, "I'm a Cop" When they are not is seen as some form or reprehensible Deception because even if it isn't true, it COULD be, BUT The Second life profile is NOT supposed to reflect the persons First life, Just their second.

Now, Lets step over a few tabs on the Profile Window to the one marked "My First Life". NOW if a Person says they are a Cop, But they are Not THIS IS a Lie, Not a fantasy, because the Venue is supposed to reflect the Persons TRUE self. On the other side, If they Claimed in all seriousness that they were indeed a fairy princess in this Window, and stuck to that Assertion, we would become doubtful of that persons Mental State.

CONTEXT Goes a Very long way in Classifying whether someones Profile Entry is a Deliberate deception, or merely a Statement of their fantasy.

Angel.

No, the trends of how stupid and or easy japanese women are is just a sad sign of how people want to control others.
