From: Shir Dryke Lol@Cheyenne. That actually got me laughing so much that my husband threw odd glances at my general direction from his computer. And getting a man look away from his toy is harder than shaving a cat. Honestly.
EDIT: the thing moved real fast meanwhile. I meant the I love voice post. It was highly amusing! I was laughing out loud for real Took my mind of my new poseballs I was so looking forward to trying out! Ouch I just reminded myself again! *stamps feet*

I just noticed something...
You know the progress bar that slowly gets longer as the various stages of logging in are accomplished? Well, it looks like as long as you don't close the client between attempts to log in, the progress bar always starts at the length it ended the prior attempt...
...which means that even though by trying to log in, I never get beyond the "Second Life may appear frozen. Please wait." stage before I get the "logins restricted" message, the progress bar is slowly getting longer and longer.
So the more time I sit here stroking the Connect button, the longer the bar gets...
Hmmm. Generally, when I"m using the net and stroking something to make it longer, it's not while trying to get into SL...

I found a weird way to entertain myself - looking at other peoples SL photos. There are really weird people out there. Weird to my taste that is. And oh my I'm weird myself but figuring that out usually takes a tad more than just looking at my av.
Such as - did you know it's sexy to attach a whip through your head, wear something even I'm unable to describe.. um it's.. small? And on top of that have a ponytail that is seriously a threat to other peoples eyes... If anyone recognized the photo as theirs, the wall where you can throw cheese at me is currently down. Voice thing you know *wink*

From: Deandra Watts I'd nap while the grid is down but it would probably come back up the minute I dozed off....
@_@ Think of the bigger picture here - couldn't you grab forty winks and let the rest of us get online for a while so that we can make sure we still have our clothes, land and shiny things? You are feeling sleeeeeeeepy...

My cat is named ~ (no joke) and she is totally addicted to chewing everything that might potentially go into plug and have a little "spice" to it. Might there be a connection?0.o
EDIT: Seems the Titanic is starting to appear again. Bottom up but oh well still something.

[Update 2:00PM Pacific on 08/08/07] We’ll be re-enabling logins to the grid shortly, but not all regions will be initially available. The ops team is moving banks of simulators to get them back on the network as quickly as possible. While they have begun the process, it may take several hours for all of the affected regions to come up. Some regions will continue to be unavailable as their network connections are still down, but we will be working to get everything back online and back to normal as quickly as we can. Please note: regions are not being enabled individually and we are unable to provide status on or prioritize any particular region.

Lol. Read the blog. Goodie. Well I think I'm heading off to bed now Or soon. Or well yes. EDIT: Dear god, now it seemed like I'm laughing at your kittie being dead Very unfortunate. I'm sorry. I've had quite a few kitties and I know it's sad. I wasn't laughing at that at all. *hands out cookies*

From: Cheyenne Marquez I'm thinking you don't have much to do right about now. I think I'm avoiding doing household chores that I could be doing while SL is down...

Translation: We'll be standing around in a circle with fingers crossed when we flip the grid switch to "On". You're welcome to do the same, as we aren't sure that what we did will do the trick. Be sure to check back in several hours -- or every 10 minutes -- to see if your Region's name was one that was picked out of the hat. Thank you for your continued patience.

Look, I may be thick, (yes, and that enough from you!!), but how the hell do you know which sim you are in?
I'm in the one that appears when I log on - which sim is that??? did I ever have a choice? if I had have know that I would have chosed the one that never goes down, lol.

The black bar at the very top of your screen shows the region, coords, type (Mature, or PG) name of the sim you're on.

Ah! mine is obviously the one that is used constantly for testing, it rarely works and only ever at a sloooow pace when it does!
I honestly didnt know that there was a choice of where you could log in! quick, tell me the least problematic sim and I will sell up and move there!
