Thank-you for opening your eyes very wide to take in the show and for panting for it to begin.

I actually have a greatly exaggerated RL

This is me dancing at a after show party in NYC last week and yes I was surprised, but it's my 15 minutes re-warhol (or seconds in this case) I'm kind of embarrassed and proud too and I can't stop laughing

have you recently suffered a blow to the head, chap?

Max, he's our friend. We have to do something to stop him. You distract him, I'll flank him and take him down. We tie him up, drag him out to a sports bar and pour beer down his throat until he comes to his senses. I'm guessing a woman did this to him.

They were called coulottes back in the day, when I was young. And I suspect that Trout isn't too much younger than I am. But, yes, now they're called skorts.

Ahh - that's it. I knew I had the spelling wrong. Thanks, Sunni - and we are not old. We're young. Look at our avatars. Not a wrinkle or grey hair in sight. I act like a 12 year old most of the time. How old can I be?

I really like your philosophy, Trout. Actually, in RL I'm 21 (with 20 extra years of experience)

Saris are often worn over pants, but the pants usually match the sari. I'm talking about skirts over jeans, which seems to be a trend in the Pacific Northwest. If you like it, then I'm probably wrong, because my fashion sense is horrifically bad. Your two X chromosomes give you an advantage that you probably don't even need, so you win. It looks really wrong to me, though. I just don't like it at all. For the record, as bad as my fashion sense is, I know better than to wear white socks with dress pants.

ok having lived in the PNW for 10 years, i rarely see this particular dress unless its really cold, or it's someone less blessed than i am. as for the sari/wrap look? I love it, yet my hips wont allow me to wear it. all kidding aside, we love our jeans and plaids, and LLbean Sweaters with our Birkentocks and workboots, we pride ourselves on having no fashion sense whatsoever. and we proudly wear our Starbucks travel mugs and inhalers as accessories!

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

The panther does not give lap dances to men.

I have quoted you, therefore I am, as per Somerset Maugham's quote, witty. Yay me.

oi! how did I get dragged into this tawdry little discussion?

Edit: Ah, now I see. I still don't see how helping your mates leads to a pink cartoon character showing me its knickers and gyrating lasciviously.

I think Trout is dating himself its was more common look in the 1990s here but its sometime it is still worn.
I lived in area all my life and I do not like Birkenstocks and I don't own LLbean sweaters.

I once had a very good friend in SL that I loved dearly, and still love. She wasn't honest with people, however, about her appearance. Thing is - there was nothing wrong with her appearance ... however, she lied to someone about her home circumstances, a male (she is married) and made it as though she was going to leave her husband for him. I realized when I met her that she was never going to leave her husband, that a lot of her unhappiness with him stemmed from other personal issues (which I'll not name here), and - well, her appearance is different from her pictures (she weighs a LOT more than her pictures show - a couple of her pics posted were from when she was a teen). Now, I'm the first to admit I'm not gonna be showing my body to others ... but I'm not going to deceive others about whether or not I have a webcam, and whether or not I'm going to leave my husband for them. I loved this girl - still do. But, I don't respect her blatant disregard for others' feelings in how she uses other people to make herself feel better about herself. She's a talented woman, who is adorable in her own right - whether or not she is overweight. But don't use men and make them think you are what you aren't ... and deceive them.

Her male counterpart - who will also remain nameless ... accused me of using her (funny enough, she used me to try to continue to deceive him ... and to spend more virtual time with him ... and because of caring for her, I couldn't tell him the truth - so I told him nothing). They are still friends, funny enough - but my respect for her dwindled after seeing how she disregarded other people's feelings to make herself feel better. She has a good real life - if she would just wake up and smell the coffee ...

You know - sometimes I feel my RL is greatly exaggerated. Not by me; I don't want anything but a little peace and quiet and maybe a sandwich. Circumstances beyond my control sneak up behind me and exaggerate my RL beyond my ability to downplay it. I'll never understand people want to exaggerate things about their lives. Don't they realize what a pain in the ass it would be to actually have those lives they want others to think they have? They have all the grief of being rich and famous without any of the richness or fame. Screw that!

It's always best to just be yourself. It's much easier to be you and people will appreciate you for who you really are much more than they will for who you are trying to be. Plus, I feel like if anyone here likes me, then they actually like ME, not some made-up personality. I'm much happier having true friends than I would be trying to RP friendships.
