but if ya did that you couldn't use Greenies or the pirate ship at Sancta Sanctorum or Reuters or the Toon sim or Bondage Playground or Prim Hearts or Nasa's simulator or Bali or Second Wildlife or Tokyo or ... jeez ... it would be a loooong mystery if I wrote it!
Watson! It appears the victim died of teleportation exhaustion!

From: Colette Meiji Watch the trailer.
The game is called AY (another You) Theres "5 million users" It calls the show "Avatar"
The actual scenes are not from Second Life - probably for a good reason.
But its Second Life thats the theme. Honestly I could care less if in the episode, the killer's avatar was named Larry Linden, running around dressed up in Army issued drab olive clothes with a face resembling a ferret. Even if it is Second Life, in the bigger picture it isn't going to change anything. SL will just have another moment in the lime light.

From: FD Spark Trout if you really want to create something you should if nothing else you can share it with your friends. That what I do. None of my stuff that I do I expect a audience for I do it for fun and challenge. Imagine what would happen if people only did things if they get noticed or paid? Nothing would ever be done. You know what, FD? You're a wiser man than I. You couldn't be more right. I should just do it for the enjoyment and challenge I get out of doing it. My friends already laugh at me - what's the worst result I could get? More laughter? I'm not going to write something so bad that they abandon me entirely. @Brenda - hah! I forgot. I also do my own stunts. @Nika - How long ago was Des looking for someone? I'm guessing he probably has it covered by now. You could easily contain a mystery/scavenger hunt to Caledon. There's a LOT of material there to work with. If I were going to do a full on novel, I'd want to be able to expand it out as far as I needed to.

From: Trout Recreant @Nika - How long ago was Des looking for someone? Long time ago, but I never noticed it in Events. I'd go to the source, Des is very approachable. Caledon is its own world and it's possible the hunt took place without external advertisement. Take a look at this one of many Caledon blogs, this one has a particularly encyclopedic set of links. http://caledonstroll.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.htmlNote that Caledon has its own forums, very gracious of Des to spend any time here at all: http://www.caledonforums.com/I'm a huge Victoriana fan, and Caledon is big on community (which I really like), but personally prefer a grittier existence than the NeoVics tolerate. They are adorable tho, wonderful content, and I love it that Caledon exists to visit.

While its quite possible the fallout over the show will be very minimal.
I am positive it will include a few -
"You better not be up to that kind of stuff on that Second Life Game you play." comments during the show directed towards some Residents by parents/ spouses/ etc.

We have to be careful to not keep seeing boogeymen where none actually are.

oh, my god, people, listen to ME, if you do not like it, THEN DO NOT WATCH IT!. its just liek the furry fandom, they go on and on abotu hwo bad the CSI episode was in 2004, listen if you do not want to watch it, then stop complaining about it!
and if your worried about the viewers?, heh, thats their fault for beliving this crap, law shows like CSI, Law & Order, have writers that dig somthing up to insult a group or race (yes they have insulted hispanics and african-americans) its just stupid if you ask me.

found the right tralor: http://www.nbc.com/Law_&_Order:_Special_Victims_Unit/video/#mea=162458actualy, this is more funny 1. sl has 10,0000 players 2. lindens are like, pocket change in the real world 3. those game shots, ARE sl, just with the UI turned off, and im sure those builds they showed, are not on the meta verse anymore

Dearly Darlings,
I stayed up past my bed time to watch the show. "Forced Sunrise" saves the day. It was not too bad. You all have a lovely evening! See you all in world tomorrow.
Ever Yours,

Laughter is good thing. Heck I am building entire city for avatars and shopping mall for avatars that are 0.060m that don't own a linden. The only banks they have are nonworking slot machines. The texture map is mine, A friend did the prims on this one. law & order svu isn't on until 10. I hope I can stay awake my rl body in winter, fall is on UK time for some strange reason, summertime Aussie time.

From: Trout Recreant On a serious note. If I wasn't so lazy, it would be fun to write a murder mystery that took place entirely in SL, using SL characters and places. Of course, it would never sell, since it would have to be aimed at such a small market. The majority of the RL population couldn't relate. It would be a fun project, though. I've always wanted to write a book.
I want a part! Please please please please please Mr. Trout???

I have tried but got bit distracted on doing cartoon series of adverntures of friends in this make believe grid called 3rd life based on friends and things we have created or struggles we have had in 2nd life. It easy to get overwhelmed and distracted. Machima looks bit overwhelming and potentially expensive if you do it right because you need a place to host it, equipment and know how to do it right. I think it might be easier to stage scenes and but them in comic book form.

OK, that was just wrong. It didn't really portray SL in a bad light, just some truly sick fuckers into 14 year old girls.

I am watching it currently Another Universe has better looking features then SL when it comes to blog pages, message list and recording videos of friends. But some of stuff seems like obvious knock of from some things from SL think LL was first to be able to make rl money in the game.

It portrayed some players of the game as creeps. We already know we got a few creeps playing SL, no? Do we need to hide this fact from the media? It was interestng to watch. Repellent television with repellent characters, and yet so hilariously off about the actuality of SL. Just a few details right so you know what they based it on and so many things so ridicuously wrong. Imagine LL being able to pull up video of avatars interacting with each other when they can't even get it together to pay out stipends on a Tuesday. The poor executioner avatar so cliche it was less convincing than an SL noob with a noob appendage. And hot damn, avatars and furniture casting moving shadows on the ground, we should have it so good. The one thing they got right and this had me rolling on the floor was Philip's Rosedale's hair style.

From: Miles Beck "Were any items missing from the victim's inventory?"
"The suspect couldn't have gotten far, it's been really laggy today."
"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, please examine Exhibit A...as soon as it rezzes." ROTFLMAO!!!!! That one had me almost in tears, just because I can imagine it, and a courtroom of avs with hands in front of themselves typing. I can just see the final arguments and watching the white dots as the prosecutor presses right click to sit.

This really ain't the first show to go on the same line. In fact, I think L&O the regular one did a story on it quite a long time ago. As tech grows, all the shows are jumping on the "netz0rz killed her" storylines.
