i tried all methods, with all the problems, and asset servers crapping left and right like a housefly flying into a bug zapper, (ZZZZIT)

maybe each time a server fails i should play "another one bites the dust"

mostly since holiday the grid has been useless on the weekends.. although honestly yesterday I only had tping issues today I see stale transactions and the like...

Well.. it is to be expected I suppose.

Can't TP myself or anyone else (the TP invite doesn't show up), taking forever to rezz, can't give inv items to anyone, can't get home, don't wanna log out b/c I might not be able to get back. So I'll just sit here and answer IMs until SL either backs off the iceberg or sinks for the day.

yea, they hit this every weekend, then blame it on "over logging" or the like,

LINDENS, GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER, YOUR LOSING MONEY BECASUE OF THIS CRAP, PULL SOME OF THE MONEY OUT TO BUY NEWER SERVERS, YOU GUYS USE LINUX SERVERS, it is a great server, mind you, BUT GET PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEY ARE DOING WITH THE SOFTWARE!

better yet, USE REDHAT!

I received an e-mail from my SL sister Danielle Hancroft and she informed me that she was all fired up for music trivia this evening, and tried to log in in hopes of winning lindens and to no avail. I can certainly hope this new server deploy will solve the problems with lag issues when it officially gets launched later in the week. It would be nice to expand the server to accommodate 100K users instead of 70K. Next level up from there should be 125K, then 150K, and so on.

I also had problems with teleporting from WAPS Disco to The Chilli Pot last night - for the second straight Saturday. Again, Danielle had no problems with teleporting.

*sighs* All I can do is pray for a miracle.

The error messages always recommend that to me, but the status page tells me absolutely nothing. Why do they send us to a page without updates?

I have done software development, database development and application/database support on large systems for 25 years. If my systems, especially my databases, had problems with the frequency that we have seen in the past few weeks and especially today, I would have been fired.

I agree and you couldn'T complain that they would have fired you.. I wonder what it is that the failure rate is going that high during the last weeks. It was better... now its getting really worse on weekends especially...

The problem is that not everyone gets the same data on the Status page because of multiple web servers that do not seem to be keeping in sync combined with browser caches that need to be refreshed/cleared. My firefox browser did not show the lastest update until a good 10 minutes after it was posted, even though I had cleared my browser cache and refreshed my display.

All day failed tps, logins down, no ability to transfer, constantly failed transactions. It is becoming and everyday occurance, with more and more frequency during the day. I thought they raised their prices on Jan 1st so that they had the money to work on servers and the like, instead of just on padding their wallet. I also want to know, who told the trained monkey he could have the weekend? It works better when him or the janitor is in charge than it does when the techs are. I won't pour RL money into this game for this reason. I wouldn't keep making payments on a car that gave me this much trouble, why should I for game.

I noticed this the other day, well not this obviously but people in the forum were posting a status desk update that when i went to the status page didn't show for me. There's a theory that there are different servers handling the page so sometimes the update hasn't replicated to the other server...or something like that!

Please watch this post for continuing updates. I noticed this the other day, well not this obviously but people in the forum were posting a status desk update that when i went to the status page didn't show for me. There's a theory that there are different servers handling the page so sometimes the update hasn't replicated to the other server...or something like that!
