Hi Graphic Guru & Claire & All

Never had the intention to crash anything. I am totally of Marcels opinion : Everyone should live out , or simulate whatever they want in SL, as long as its legal.

I just look at this subject from an shrinks perspective (I have a degree in psychology) and I believe that "love in SL" is as much a fantasy, as is running around in the forest shooting men (in SL !! ).

But I wont make that subject of the discussion because its going to be never ending one. Juts my point of view. I revise my previous post: marriage is not always a commitment to a family. I was wrong on that one.

Happy to party with you, where and when? Dress code? <<smiles>>Will have to leave the weapons at home I guess....

Wish you well

Colette,
That was the point :)

Magdalena,
hehehe, we do love to have our discussions don't we.
For once it's not aout Gor. It's about love.
I always look forward to a chance to debate with a learned head shrink :)

OK, Love is an intangible concept. You cannot feel it (physically touch it), you cannot see it, hear it, smell it. It is a thought only. A thought which provokes responses in the body.

Being that love is intangible, why could love in SL not be as real as in RL?
SL gives us a visual stimulation to fixate our emotions. these visual stimulations can be interactive. More they can choose different music interests, clothing, likes/ dislikes.
What is it about love that is so imposible in SL?
Is it the fact that the person on the other end probably looks nothing like their Avatar?
Is it that actual procreation cannot take place?
(great idea for SL, have kids and the simulate the real hell a lot of us go through in RL :) )

"I just look at this subject from an shrinks perspective (I have a degree in psychology) and I believe that "love in SL" is as much a fantasy, as is running around in the forest shooting men (in SL !! ). "

The best laugh I get from this quote, is that Love is a fantasy. In or out of SL. It is different for each of us, even when two of us are in love with each other.

:)
Be Well

hmmm... notice it still hasn't been changed :(
Actually I hadn’t seen the thread for several days now. (My deepest apologies dearest Claire) We had a major car accident in the family Sunday night, and I have been attending to their health needs day and night...so...in saying that, I went and corrected the spelling as quickly as I could; I rarely use last names, but it is no excuse. But come to think of it, in lieu of a spell check, why not take this even further and petition LL to license a new name...Claire Gustav? With your permission Claire, I will put in a ticket with LL.

We will be sending out invitations later today for the house party Saturday...it is ‘come dressed as you like’ (preferably PG or tamer, there will be kids there) we encourage coming in your most outrageous alt/avi! We will have a large dance floor on the roof by the pool deck, lots of dances, Live DJ, plenty of lounges and cuddle areas, catered novelty foods (meow!), Games, and door prizes for everyone! Any donations will be given to a charity group helping new citizens get situated in SL, and we would encourage tipping the DJ as she has volunteered her services.

We also encourage you to invite your friends and families who may not necessarily frequent the hangout, as this is open to ALL!

OH and Maggie, you ARE intitled to your opinion...but this thread is not an opinion thread.

Graph, my friend, I think the love between you and Claire is very sweet but my belief is that anything posted here in these public forums is open for discussion if not debate.

From: Graphicguru Gustav

Actually, we have everything we need. so if it is OK with Claire, any donations will be given to a worthy foundation that helps new citizens in SL get settled into SL, or a cause that works towards high retention of new SL citizens.

Excellent gesture. Anyone have any ideas?

The approach was rather unkind, however.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

That shouldn't surprise anyone around here. But I agree, that doesn't make it ok.

Might want to ask Carl Metropolitan of NCI or Travis Lambert of The Shelter; maybe they could use a L$ donation toward paying expenses, like teachers, tier, etc? Those are the first two off the top of my head, anyone got other ideas?

Spades my friend, LOL! no, no, no...we are serving regular food, and drink, but we will have a special tray just for the Neko's, and anyone curious enough to try cat food and mice! We were thinking of Ann when we got the tray!

You may want to ask the sim owners of your favorite places you visit, if you could hold your wedding there.

I have had a few couples over the past year come to me and ask me if I would be willing to let them have their ceremonies on the Courtyard at Dark Paradise. Being the romantic I am, I even closed the sim down for the couple and their friends for a couple of hours.

I really do believe there are others, who when asked, might very well be willing to help couples out as well.

Cheers!

Cuz grinding them up would make them mushy and unappetizing.
