How about a shotgun wedding? Aha! So that WAS Claire's alt! _____________________

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things. Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut. |

Hate to be cynical but get a good prenup ![]() Seriously.... why spend that much cash? Is a big formal ceremony the thing you both want? If so, great, but it'd be a more intimate affair if it was just someplace private with your closest friends a. Buy rings, write your own vows, rent a space for a little while if you can't get one for free as a wedding gift in and of itself from friends. Do you really need a large entourage with poofy skirts and flower girls? First, congrats and best wishes to the happy couple! Could be that is what they want, rather than need; a big celebration with all the bells and whistles. Lots of attendants and poofy skirts...judging from the budget Graph mentioned, sounds like it. Lots of people are into that. Although, it could be done for far less Lindens I think...use a friends land, have friends donate stuff - for instance I have a nice gazebo I could lend...etc. I myself didn't have that the first time, but if I ever go around again I plan to have the most obnoxious traditional wedding we can afford - both of us in hand stitched beaded dresses with 20ft long trains, 12 -15 attendants, a flower girl, our australian shepard in a custom made doggy-tux carrying the ring down the isle, and flowers, flowers, flowers aplenty. Gaudy and auspicious. Yeah baby, yeah! ![]() _____________________

Happy BDay Claire!!
on a side note if you still haven't found a place to hold your wedding, we will happily give you our parcel for the happy event ( well not GIVE, but to use )also keep it simple! as one poster put it you already have the main ingredients for a perfect wedding: the bride and groom. _____________________
There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

I'd go check out the Relay for Life Clothing Fair that is going on right now. Best way to see lots of designers and I did see wedding outfits there tonight. Just look in Search, then on Map you'll see the 4 sims. If it looks crowded, just teleport to the least crowded sim. That is what I did this morning and I got in immediately. The sims are named Rezzable Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer.
This is also a fun way to browse, shop and help fight cancer. Congratulations to you both. |

Now we are faced with the planning of a SL wedding, and would love any ideas you may have for a simple yet beautiful wedding. I think we may want to keep the budget to about 10,000L maximum. But would prefer to have the budget much lower if possible and have the same kind of effect. !!! Ok, let me get this right...... You just roleplay/ simulate a wedding? Or you are just taking the piss? Please tell me that is what you do ...will you? Or is there more to it ? If so Goreans are absolutly normal and you guys are the bizzarre ones.... <<nods>> Maggie |

Of course it is your good right to find SL weddings weird, but a great lot of people don't and even take it quite seriously. It is the second part I find weird. Why are people who marry in SL weirder then Goreans? As a person who does't roleplay either of those, I really do not see the point. Then again I do not roleplay at all, which may be the reason. But I would never call people who are planning a SL wedding, bizarre. Nor would I call a gorean roleplayer bizarre. People marrying in RL are a bit more bizarre though People roleplaying Gorean lifestyle in RL are a lot more bizarre even ![]() Marcel _____________________
