Any good wedding ideas?

Well, as some of you may know, Graph (that’s me) had proposed to Claire Silverspar, and she said YES!!!!

Now we are faced with the planning of a SL wedding, and would love any ideas you may have for a simple yet beautiful wedding. I think we may want to keep the budget to about 10,000L maximum. But would prefer to have the budget much lower if possible and have the same kind of effect.

***So my question to you all is; 'what are some good tips and $L saving ideas without doing away with quality for a beautiful SL wedding?'***

This may not be the place to say this but...well...now that we are on the subject...

Claire and I would like to thank each and every one of you who showed up to our impromptu house party the other week...it was very successful, and there are some pictures on the Flickr site under the Forum Cartel group that show some of the fun and mischief we got into!

By the way, Claire and I are having an open house/house warming party (our official one) this Saturday (still working out the time of day details)... and of course EVERYONE is welcome to come by! Ask us for a LM! (You didn’t see this invite here! And if you did, I take full blame...don’t jump on Claire about it!) As soon as we hammer out the time of the event, we will post it in events and send out an invitation. If you don’t get an invitation by Wednesday give us a holler!

After that...on to the wedding!!!

If Claire's going to go for the big floofy dress, she should run over to Last Call before the 100L sale is over. There are some lovely ones upstairs to at least consider. Tres Beau (?) also has gorgeous gowns.

Oh! And Shiny Things bouquets!

Wait until after the Non-Wedding party at least. See how Rioko does in planning and maybe you can hire her? She seems to have things seriously under control so far and some great ideas.

If I haven't sold my land and moved yet; or put it back in order after that party and the wedding is soon after the Non-Wedding Forum party, if you want to use it for your wedding let me know. I'd be happy to let you guys have it at my place if you're looking for somplace to throw it, other than your own. Waterfront! Lowlag! I'm not around a lot, and have another small lot close by I could use temporarily if I need a place to just get dressed :)

Don't know if I can show for your party - it's tough for me to be inworld a lot of times and weekends are particularly bad, but my best wishes are with both of you :)

A beautiful setting like Botanical. There are spots by waterfalls or on an old stone bridge overlooking a beautiful valley.

Hate to be cynical but get a good prenup ;)

Seriously.... why spend that much cash? Is a big formal ceremony the thing you both want? If so, great, but it'd be a more intimate affair if it was just someplace private with your closest friends a. Buy rings, write your own vows, rent a space for a little while if you can't get one for free as a wedding gift in and of itself from friends. Do you really need a large entourage with poofy skirts and flower girls?
