From: cinda Hoodoo Oh yes and i have seen this happen many times, someone gets a lot(s) next to some nice property and trashes it out, and sticks a big price tag on it, its like extortion to make you pay their price to get rid of the garbage. Well, the land was owned by the person before I owned my land. So, it's technically my fault for trying to run a business next to it. I had some qualms about this when I bought the land around it, but I thought maybe I could deal with the owner 1 on 1. But no response as of yet.

ooh don't burn the plywood prims, they use a really toxic glue in the construction of them and its really really bad for the environment, and highly flammable....
**visions of sl burning as prims catch fire across the grid, plumes of smoking choking the life from all those poor scion chickens and hiding all the ugly malls**

That's why I always change the MATERIAL_TYPE on all my prims to stone, metal, or glass. Makes them non-flammable. <.<

From: Kitty Barnett There are basic accounts that have 512m²/1024m² worth of free tier. Please elaborate. I don't recall hearing of that. Which unfortunately doesn't mean I have haven't known about it in the past.

From: Peggy Paperdoll Yeah, if you say so...... I think you have a problem with reading. An untextured house that I own is NOT making someone else's life miserable.........who's to say they were not making my life miserable? They had scripts galore runing, shouting Sploders, canned (and lame) Xcite bits screaming every 25 seconds.........gawdy, particles streaming almost to my 768 meter platform. I guess you didn't understand my little untextured house just sat there for several months without some brick veneer or redwood siding...........and their run down freebie concrete walls decorated with naked women, signs for escorts were so eye appealing. Someone has a problem with control here Night night............I'm done with this one. Getting more moronic each time I open the thread. Sounds like someone has alot more problems with live and let live, and minding their own business, much more so than i do.

I love when the olbies grace us with some words of wisdom. SHOW SOME RESPECT NOOBS! The pioneers slept away more knowledge about developing virtual communities than you will ever acquire.

I stopped commenting on page two when I realized there were other issues than 'live and let live' driving her posts. I have been lurking and it has been entertaining.

From: Argent Stonecutter Well, you could make the vehicle stay temp-on-rez all the time, so it'll get deleted in rolling restarts and stuff even if the "is sat on" bit never gets flipped.
You'll need to get the owner used to having the vehicle vanish when they stand up though. Yeah, and I usually do that when I ride my own vehicles. The hope was to have some interval after the owner stands but before the object gets automatically reclaimed. Then, on script-enabled land, it could toggle back to non-temp and make a better guess whether to llDie.

Which unfortunately doesn't mean I have haven't known about it in the past. That's pretty much all I know . The two I knew were a 2005 and an early 2006 account and both had 1024m² of mainland tier they could use indefinitely without being premium (no premium stipend though).

Wasn't that because of some reward system or something?
I have no recollection of such a program and i have accounts that span most of the years of SL existence and have no free tier with any but this account, which is a Lifetime.

From: Peggy Paperdoll "Mind your own business". Which, in my case, is exactly what I said. You forgot the word "busybody." (This time.)
