Seriously, Pep, you really ought to get off Jig's back: I have been following this forum a little more closely than usual over these past couple of weeks and I am frankly astounded by the regularity of your niggling responses under various pseudonyms every time she posts.

It's also hurtful to be called 'idiot', 'ignorant', unable to tell the difference between sl and rl, etc, when a person actually thinks they might be doing something good in sl. I like the forums though, and try to take the high road and not respond when these are thrown my way. *I* know that I know the difference (rather cumbersome sentence there). Sometimes, when on the receiving end of these hits, I will cringe and just say 'wow'. But move on. Because bottom line it's my choice to stay here and keep reading/posting, or not. Hopefully, I can accept another's negative opinion of me (idiot, ignorant) without buying into the idea that it might be true. Being thin skinned about someone else's negative opinion of me only prolongs the drama. Hurtful, yes, true, no. |

I think most of us who regularly post on the internet have been given short shrift for our views at some time or other, and I don't doubt that a fair few of us have dished it out also, but I think this is a matter of undue persistence: I enjoy reading Jig's posts just as much as I enjoy reading Pep's comments (when he isn't being a willful pedant) so it gets in everyone's way when a thread is subverted by a tiff that has long since passed the bounds of a simple disagreement. I have had quite a few one-on-one spats with other contributors in my time, and I am guilty of posting more than a few strongly worded and even off-colour comments myself, but I don't think it is right to pursue another resident from one thread to the next as Pep appears to be doing with Jig. I don't doubt that I would get my pixelated ass AR'd out of SL if I behaved like that toward another av in-world. And I would deserve it. |

I can see a certain amount of value in indicating what time zone you're in. Especially for a main account used by a merchant or content creator. But I'd place that in my main profile, where more people are likely to read it.
I don't have that in my profile now, but if it matters for someone I am talking to, I'll tell them my country and time zone freely enough. I just don't get much more detailed with most people.

But that is not the reason why people put you on ignore instead of him. If I had to choose who to put on ignore, it would be you as well. Not because you are the one "getting slammed", but because you are the one writing unreadable, and refuse to use any form of spelling correction. And Peps posts are very readable. One more try to make you understand the consequences of the way you write: I do not have a clue whether you have something sensible to say, most of the times. Why not? because your deliberate 'teh', and other (maybe deliberate) typos annoy me too much. For me, you are in the same line as Jumpman: Too unreadable to take seriously. Since I do not know the person behind Jig, I can only assume you are a nice person. That is why I really would rather take you seriously, then discard your posts. You probably deserve better, but choose less. And that is a shame. |

Jig is on my ignore list for being a troll.No other reason really. I can live with spelling mistakes and typos, even intentional ones. However,every post I see by her smacks of self grandeur and total lack of respect for anyone else on these forums.She is basically here to start shit and amuse herself. JMO and all that.
