The best skin is the one you feel an attachment to and feel at ease in....

On a more literal answer, try Nomine: it's divine make-ups, and Munchflower Zaius is wonderfully classy overall ...

The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

Sin Skins, Symphony, Nomine, sdRII, Frick (very affordable - good fantasy skins), Another skins (free!), RealSKIN....

Those are the ones that come to mind quickly. I know I have others, but I'm not logged in right now to check them. I am currently wearing RealSKIN, but I have a few others I switch to as the situation warrants. I am trying an experiment and instead of picking a different skin for every outfit, I am trying to wear the RealSKIN 'Eva' exclusively for consistency (it is available in 4 makeups; I bought all four). I have a friend who has worn a RealSKIN exclusively for over two years now, and she has a very distinctive and recognizable look as a result. They are expensive, but worth the cost, I believe. And they have a sale room where you can pick up some skins for less.

Skins can be such a personal thing. Be sure you have a shape you really like, pick up lots of demo skins, then go home and strip naked, and start trying them on!

I'm a long time SinSkin user. I've never really looked at anything else.

Sin is having a 10l skin sale :) I wear, Starley skins and Redgrave mostly, but have Nomine and Ravenswear [death fairy] too.

I find Laqroki's a bit flat and paint-like. What do others like about it?

Checking my inventory to weed out some skins, and see that I forgot to mention Fleur. I have some skins from Fleur that are very nice, and definite "keepers!"

For those short on Lindens, I recommend SinSkins. Right now, she is having a retirement sale, all of her 2.0 models are $10 each. For that price you get 1 makeup in a plain and freckled version, a set of prim eyelashes, a scripted patch for "down there", the skins are anatomically correct but bare, you get a manicure and pedicure in either a matching shade or tintable, and a set of tintable eyebrows.

I took a quick prowl through Sorcha's inventory. She's got a lot of Tuli skins, and they're lovely, though the mouth is a little big for my taste.

The one she wears almost all of the time is from Splashing Doll, by Kryptonia Paperdoll. It was a prize in the gridwide ghost hunt, I think. I'm going to have to get a few more makeups, because the skin style really suits Sorcha's shape.

For fantasy skins, I like Colorskins by B-BD.

I've not been shopping for skins for some time, but I have Laqroki and Tulli. I also found some inexpensive ones at Midsummer Night Creations, which suited me well.

I used the Nightclub Female one from the Library for a long time - that one was made by the Celestial Studios artist.

(Make sure you try the skin demos with the shape you intend to use.)

This thread just made me take a good look at the skin I'm using... "Asian A1 M12 by Nany Merlin"... a Soul skin, I believe. Pricey things at L$1490 per facial style, but among the best asian skins I've found!

My other favorite is ISSIGONIS. They're $L1400 for a basic skin package, but each package contains four skins (same eyeshadow, but different lipstick and eyelash colors) AND the accompanying shape and eyebrows!

Awwww....I still have the CS Passport Malibu - for a freebie, it's a great skin! I still pull it out for fun and nostalgia and wear it every now and then, when I'm wearing a bikini. :)

I think my favourite skins at the moment are Aja Sinister's Jadzia Skins. I wear the "Noxious" ones a lot, and both I and others really like them. They aren't cheap, by any means, but worth it. I think you can now only get them from her vendor in Body Doubles.

I'm a Redgrave girl, lol. Nothing else looks nearly as good on me. That's the key thing, look around and see what looks good on you. Take a day or two and just try on demo's from the places mentioned here.
