From: Rebecca Proudhon In the meantime, other Virtual Worlds are being created and selling sims for less then a hundred dollars and even for free. I would like to know where these Utopia's are? I take it they have no problems either and everyone are Happy Campers... hhhhmmmmm? Please tell us what Worlds you are speaking of.

From: Rebecca Proudhon Personal attacks are fine apparently...... but start blaming LL .....fighting words to the kool aid drinkers. I could care less if all you did were venting your frustration at poor service and instability. Heck, I do that all the time. But you don't stop there. You are on a crusade to make everyone else here see the light and stop having fun immediately, because obviously we have no idea what we're doing here, actually still having fun. I myself have been here for 24 months, which feels like ages in SL terms. I still have fun. I have not lost the drive to see and look and explore, and I still continue to be amazed at all of this. Sourpusses like you will not make me turn my back on a beautiful thing, however imperfect it may be. Tell you what, Rebecca - if you'd stop pissing in everyone's wheaties, I think people would actually be more willing to listen. But since that is not in your nature, do not blame us if we think your rants are utter nonsense.

Your "fun" then is beating up on posters who are having problems like Chaos...and I come along on post #29 consisting of 27 previous attacks on an individual, and tell you thats baloney and SL is a mess. Well then don't read the latest Blog and comments, to see if Chaos had anything right. Mobs rule.

From: Bio Swindlehurst ever though SL just isn't for you as it seems to pick on with all *these* problems? If thats's the case then sl isn't for just about every single person because EVERYONE has problems at one time or another. Those who say they don't experience any are liars.

I think the point was that all the problems were being experienced, not just one or two.. but.. I haven't been following along, so feel free to completely disregard what I say here.

From: Cole Riel If thats's the case then sl isn't for just about every single person because EVERYONE has problems at one time or another. Those who say they don't experience any are liars. Well then no one is a liar. No one in 6 pages has made any claim that they have never experienced problems. People have pointed out the OP seems to experience a disproportionately large occurrence of problems. Which by his own posts is readily apparent. What should be valuable concern to the OP are people's informative posts as to just WHY that might be. He has admitted to using a watered-down connection he is "borrowing?". (2MBit is not "fast" btw, 10MBit is minimal). It has been pointed out this could account for a myriad of the problems he experiences, and that a more reliable (and legal) ISP should be obtained. This is very sound advice. Other individuals continue to banter about unrelated gripes and muddy the original issue.

From: Rebecca Proudhon Well then don't read the latest Blog and comments, to see if Chaos had anything right. Mobs rule. if you would like to start a new thread griping about the frequency of rolling-restarts and craptacular asset servers, you may suddenly find you have some supporters. This does not explain the OP's woes. Those first 27 posts did. In fact the OP's OP did. A shared wifi connection from down the street does not meet SL requirements. Case closed (or at least shoulda been).

You're either being very obtuse or you're just being disingenuous in this post. Not all 27 posts were attacks on Chaos's initial thread. Some of it was just good natured ribbing which Chaos himself acknowledged (which includes one of the 27 posts so I guess in your world Chaos is attacking himself as well). Plenty of posters like Mari simply posted possible problems with his network connection without any innuendo. Suggesting that the problem with his connection may lie outside of SL servers is not equatable to playing the sycophant to SL. Some people were basing it on their own prior experiences with a similar if not identical login experience and what the problem ended up being in their case.

Can you provide names? Links to places where "lots" of people were complaining about this? Surely you wouldn't make a claim without the evidence to back it up?

As far as I can tell, no one here believes LL/SL is perfect - far from it - a lot of us just don't agree with the majority of your conclusions or manner of presenting them. As for Chaos...well, you've heard the story of the boy who cried wolf, right?

What he described was exactly the situation I was getting on a "challenged" connection. The same connection sometimes fails me on ZIP downloads and often stalls on YouTube. These are not LLs fault. They have plenty of their own without taking on the rest of the world's problems. Mari

From: Ann Launay That's how I do all my shopping. Hurricane Ann. When she shops, she leaves a trail of carnage behind her - clothes strewn about, broken display stands, dazed vendors. FEMA should have a file on her.

Hmmm a cat in a China Shop. My shopping style is more Black Ops. I quietly survey the area, searching for high value targets of opportunity. Once my objective is sighted, I'm in and out quietly, with little collateral damage except to my wallet.

From: Ann Launay It's all those people leaving SL en masse. They were all on the same bus with me. Most of them were on the same bus back in, however.
