From: Lyla Tunwarm wuss. I had some respect for you standing up to you position even though I disagreed, but giving in so easily? I was expecting a whole new thread of flame wars over this... Now what am I going to do with this popcorn. hahahaha, I don't know you who are, but I am starting to like you

From: Gabriele Graves hahahaha, I don't know you who are, but I am starting to like you wha...? can't you see? that's Lyla Tunwarm, Registered User! to whom i say: i'm a bit surprised the numbers aren't a bit more drastic, what with it being summer and all (well, for a large portion of SL dwellers...).

ZOMG If I had known that this thread would turn into "I hate your sig" I would have never started it. Back off gang, start your own thread.
Seriously though, does LL listen? Someone said that it's been working on stability, etc, etc, but what good does that do when people spend more time on the forums (official and 3rd party) than they do inworld? I give LL kudos for "improving" stuff - tho I have yet to be convinced - but really? Zindra? Really? Mass extinction on the Mainland? Really? SLim? Really? SL Answers? Really? Why is it that when LL asks us what we want, and we answer "X" with a resounding voice, it completely ignores us? Why is it that when LL demands USD every month for a service that is unsatisfactory to many, and we cry with a "why?", it completely ignores us?
I feel like one of those displaced Okies in "Grapes of Wrath" - we're getting screwed for less content and worth every day.

And to answer all those who will ask "So, Oryx, since you're bitching so much, why are you still here?"... my answer is "I haven't logged in for over a month. I'm girding my mental loins to see what other new way LL has implemented to "benefit" my "user experience."" I still pay LL $75/month but I'm seriously starting to wonder why.

From: LittleMe Jewell No matter what you do to your shape, the skirt does not fit snug at the waist - and that is just plain stupid. And who the hell thought that a jacket layer being inside the skirt layer was a good idea? This.

At least the skirt layer can be made to touch the body on the female mesh. Try it with a male shape sometime.

I feel like one of those displaced Okies in "Grapes of Wrath" - we're getting screwed for less content and worth every day. It could be worse, Oryx....it could have been turned into a diaper fetish thread. There is a huge population of people that spend ALL their SL time inworld. They've never been to a forum, and they aren't aware why Zindra was created, or that it even exists as a separate continent. Sure, they probably tp there to see or buy something, but they didn't know it was a separate place. I don't normally get involved with the issues, and giving suggestions, because I see a ton of threads that emphasize that LL doesn't listen....and SL works fine for me, as long as I don't read too much stuff in the forums. SL works fine for a ton of people that enjoy being inworld. Perhaps LL listens to these people, by watching how they spend their money, and they're spending much more money than the minority who spend their time daily in forums....and money is probably the bottom line. That may be way off....but that's the way I explain it in my head. It is what it is. Some of us are enjoying it just fine. I respect those people who want to fight for an issue and spend their time voicing their opinion for it.....but not all people experience SL that way, and the majority of people do not want to spend their SL time that way....they just go about their SL having fun and enjoying what is there now. If you go inworld for a few days, and totally forget all the issues presented on the forum boards....you will probably have a ton of fun. It helps to balance it out, now and then.

Why is it that when LL demands USD every month for a service that is unsatisfactory to many, and we cry with a "why?", it completely ignores us? LL only hear what they want to hear, that's quite clear from the homestead issue to Zindra to the forum changes here and on Xstreet, they have a plan and they just change some words and think they've exemplified listening when they do no such thing. As for why people pay for the service, it's because people still enjoy it, despite LL's attempts to mess things up. People complain about the management of ebay too and they again don't listen to their customers. On the content issues though I think LL will listen to a degree because they need a dialogue to make it work. Some of this needs to be based on users voluntarily acting in a certain fashion. Where LL will not listen will be in areas where they've already made up their mind what they want to do, why they go through the charade of asking for feedback in those circumstances will remain a mystery. However on the industry standards for copying tools and educating people about copyright issues, I think they will listen and the feedback will be worthwhile.

As for SL every year they promise all kinds of stuff... Right now their priority is making phone calls available directly to SL...
I just have to LOL..... I didn't think it would come out this quickly when I posted that. https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/features/blog/2009/08/19/bye-bye-beta-avaline-dial-an-avatar-is-now-available-to-all-avatarsThats whats next. I know I am all exited about being able to receive a phone call while I am in SL. Oh wait, I usually turn off my cell phone when in SL.. Oh well.... Wait, they want us to pay to be bothered in SL? What happens when you give your calling code out to the wrong person and get a never ending drama? What happens if someone gets cranky and spams your calling code all over the net? Griefers are going to LOVE this... Now they can scam the codes from people and cause all kinds of hell. Why would I even want to be called while playing SL?

So LL's new corporate customers can try to sell you stuff.

From: Lord Sullivan Because you can be sure LL will sell on the list of numbers at some point I am sure Even if they don't it won't stop greedy in world business to do it. Especially if they figure out how the codes are distributed. I can't see this as a good thing in any respect. Especially being they want you to PAY for it... They thought they could charge for voice when it came out though also.. I see how well that worked out.

Yep I think as was said as soon as the telemarketers work out the codes then expect some calls for double glazing, insurance etc. etc. Personally while I was in the UK and my wife was here in Holland we used Skype alongside SL, I have never used voice in SL and the only time I ever switched it on was for the Brown Bag meetings and then it got switched off straight away afterwards. I for one won't use the SL avaline even if the package it up for free and give me calling credits for the thing as to me its to open for abuse IMHO and I will stick with Skype for now
