HATE? LOL Get a perspective kid. What "reality" are *you* inhabiting that you get so wound up by being reminded of something you would rather forget.

Pep (I deleted the relevant posts of mine a long time ago, out of misplaced compassion)

Calmate, hombre. Hate is not as powerful as some people give it credit for.

Anyway, I don't mind being reminded of unpleasantries, so long as they actually happened. In your world, the US probably bombed Pearl Harbor in 1941.

Cody (Curious how only your "deleted" posts contained any evidence of the situation being the way you described it...)

You are the one who put HATE in capitals kid.

I am surprised you have covered modern history at school already. I would have thought you were only up to advanced drawing with crayons and reading without saying the words.

Pep (Curious how the more I remind you the more it appears that my recollection of events is accurate)

Not surprising, considering that things invariably are never the way you "think" they are.

There's all kinds of kids. Some of them are prodigies.

Unfortunately for people like Pep, not everyone can be "smarter than a fifth-grader".

Cody (At least I know how to properly spell "inaccurate";)

Thereby proving your dumbness by splitting an infinitive as well as being unable to read "accurate"ly.

*sighs* Sadly, I already used this one on you...which basically makes this gem the equivalent of "I know you are, but what am I?", the last desperate attempt at one-upmanship of intellectually-stunted Pee-Wee Herman fans the world over. My hate is beginning to turn towards pity.

Alas, we're stuck at an impasse. Both of us think we're right. The difference is, I've provided a link whereby anyone may go back and see that my version of the circumstances is true, whilst you....well, you've had to make a very bad excuse for why people who follow my link won't see the events taking place as you insist they did.

Do you EVER win....at ANYthing you try?

The difference is that I am not doing this for "people", merely to remind you of your embarrassment. I know what happened. You probably remember now, despite your self-induced amnesia.

I can't comment on either, from a relative point of view, nor can you. I can merely say I am delighted that my memory and grammar are demonstrably better than yours.

There is a word that describes the sort of person who clings to already-unlikely beliefs when presented with irrefutable evidence which proves those beliefs untenable. I used to think that word was "delusional"; it seems, however, that the word is actually "Pserendipity".

The kid borrowed a grown-up's dictionary eh? But you don't seem to understand the meaning of "irrefutable", and it is *you* that are in denial.

*Checks her scorecard.

So far it's been a brawl. each fighter is not wasting time on strategies, choosing to make each blow count. The Chump has the guile and hard headedness in his favor, he can take a punch and not even blink, but the question is: How long can he take it without showing it?

The Challeneger is acquitting himself well, he gets right in and doesn't flinch, He too is standing his ground. It will be close, but my money is on The Kid. I think he will simply outlast his opponent. Back to you up in the Booth.

Thanks for the summary, I was getting tired of trying to keep up with the individual punches.

I shall prevail, Brenda, (as I did before, when the Kid threw in the towel before I even needed to throw a punch) because, like Rocky, I have right on my side.

No, it does not. Allow me to explain. "Mo", as you call her, has in other threads vocally objected to our sparring with threats to send me to my room. I take these threats seriously, so whenever she raises an objection I tend to stop (and pout). However, the dialog in question was not a "sparring" match, or an attempt to "pwn" anybody (at least as far as I can see). It was an exchange of jokes - nothing more. Thus, I took Maureen's post to be an overreaction, which is why I posted my "???" comment. I did not suspect then, nor did I ever suspect until this thread, that the person I was joking with was one of "your alts", or that it was some fight where pwnage was at stake. Your vanity seems to have colored your perception of that entire incident - which certainly would come as the very opposite of a surprise to people who are used to dealing with you. Second Life is full of dweebs; I'm not going to presume all of them are you. If that means you feel proud of yourself that you were able to make a dweeb alt without me "finding out" it was you, well...

Since it makes you happy - have another!

Thank you for confirming my view of it. A critical element of pwning someone is that they are initially unaware of being pwned; you were obviously confused and ran away to pout. Now that you have found out the extent to which you were pwned you are upset. I understand. Pretentious kids tend to be even more upset than adults when they find out that they have been fooled. But your belated realisation does not change the facts of history nor (note the use of "nor" which you may wish to emulate if in the future you are attempting to fake adult competence) does it excuse your desperate and failed attempts to rewrite it.

You still seem to be confused. In order for me to have "conceded", I needed to have realized that I was "pwned". Since I didn't realize I was "pwned" (note for readers: I'm told that unless you're a mental health professional, it's best to play along with delusional people like Pstippity, so as not to upset them), I can hardly have conceded, now, can I? Yet you brilliantly both 1) assume my "trophy" was posted at you without context (which it was, to be fair), and 2) assume it was genuine (partially understandable).

OK, because I can't bear to torture small animals for too long, let me explain the trophy. Once again:

This is the "winning screen" of an exceptionally bad PC game entitled "Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing". In the game, you control a semi-tractor-trailer truck, and you are racing against another truck. Your job is to negotiate a "track", typically winding through a valley and city, and make it to the Finish Line before a computer opponent. Of course, since your opponent never actually leaves the Start Line, ever, you may take as long as you wish to complete the game. In fact, you do not even need to remain on the track, as you may go over the grass, through any building, up near-ninety degree slopes, even off the edges of the game area and into a great white void with no speed or time penalty. (watch a video review of the game at http://www.gamespot.com/pc/driving/bigrigsotrr/video/6086530/big-rigs-over-the-road-racing-video-review )

It is widely hailed as the worst video game ever made, and is a subject of ridicule. One gaming magazine proposed using its grammatically-dubious "You're Winner !" winning screen as a trophy for its worst-of-the-year games from that point on. In like manner, my posting it at you - or whomever else I choose to post it at - is no kind of concession; it's a form of simple ridicule.

Because you were not familiar with the game, you did not realize it was ridicule. You've been trumpeting it as a "concession", while it was actually an attack - an attack to which you never responded. That is why I "left the thread" - because I had nothing to add until you countered my snipe, which you never did. Essentially, I had the last word in that little "battle" and you did not even realize it. Thus, by the very rules you set forth in your own post just now, it was clearly I who "pwned" you. And your sad, continual insistence in this thread that the trophy was some kind of "concession" has made you just about the biggest heel in the history of this forum. Congratulations - YOU'RE WINNER !

Cody (you forgot to place a comma before "nor" - independent clauses in a single sentence are seperated with a comma)

I know the context of the trophy only too well, having been offered it and similar numerous times when others have run out of original words, so I consider it as a concession on their behalf.

Pep (Sorry kid, it's back to class for you - you don't always need commas when other punctuation is present and the sense is obvious, and you CERTAINLY don't spell "separated" like that)
