Um...no cheese, but I did bring a Rolly Gassman Reserve Pinot Gris 2000. Any takers?
It's lunch time here now so could you pour me a glass perhaps, Jerry? I have a wedge of aged Alsacien Muenster that would complement it nicely, although the lightly toasted cumin seeds do tend to get between the teeth . . .

I'm not really one for wine. Though, if you can pick me up a case of beer or some brandy, I'll come along.

I happen to have a 'Le Voyage de Delamain' cognac knocking around at the back of my drinks cabinet, which I got mainly for the Baccarat designed bottle. Would that do?

A real treat from a local brewery here...

@Pep: I figure if I keep a good enough wine on hand, someone will try to tempt me with the cheese. :D

mmm that winter ale looks tempting ... I am happy with most drinks, in the wine or beer groups, but have a particular affinity with 'rustic' foods, eg a runny brie, hunk of bread, and very large glug of vin de pays ...

I love cognacs and I don't know how much that is in USD but I bet it is worth every penny.

I believe we had a bottle of that at a bar I worked at long ago. I remember the owner was highly protective of it. I want to say it was $60 USD a shot. Memory is fuzzy though from hanging out late after working in said bar.:p

I was just thinking that I had not had a good brie in quite a while. Too many party hosts try to fake it, but few can really make it 'to die for' and when done right, it goes very nicely with quite a few reds.

If you are going to pull out the really good stuff, I might have to go to the wine cellar and retrieve a couple of the bottles that are saved for very special occasions.

Personally, I'm eyeballing what appears to be possibly a chunk of Humbolt Fog goat cheese back there. I have one bottle left of Renwood 2000 Old Vine Zinfandel which would go wonderful with it :)

Update! I've drank half a bottle of wine and three Bud Lights. Were's all the women at??

Looked in after this thread had so many comments elsewhere and what do I find? Someone that claims to be a stud drinking Bud Light at 24. My god, man (??), there are some real beers and ales to be found everywhere.

Drink six Piraats and get back to us in the morning...

No. And I don't WANT to get it. In fact, keep it away from me or I'm calling the police.

There was alcohol in this thread before you got here, so *you're* the one who needs to clear off.

Haha if I ever saw a cheese labelled 'British' then I think I would prefer to abstain ...

Like the wine simply labelled 'Made in the EU' ...

There's alcohol at the Hangout too, doesn't stop me from showing up there.

They don't let just anyone walk in there, though, so you'll simply have to take my word that the music is great.

I love it when you two start sparring.

/me or any of my six alts (remember - or are you still smarting from the embarrassment of having me "rescue" you from myself?) wander around the Hangout whenever they like - and the standard of music there is "variable" in my opinion.

Pep (You should really decide whether you are a kid or not; it's extremely unconvincing rp otherwise)
