and if every person that thought like you 'wasted' your vote on a third party you would have a president that was neither democrat or republican. Yep, that would be a good thing wouldn't it? All countries end up with 2 major parties which sleep with each other anyway. If anyone tries to set up a 3rd party you watch how well the other 2 play together to either kick the living crap out of them till they are dead or absorb them. _____________________

I think the rest of the world is just envious of our progressive American electoral system, that's all. Why in our country, anyone can be elected president, even children, horse thieves and war criminals! Who profits from THAT? Now for the SL-relation: I remember the summer/fall before last that there was a lot of talk on the Linden's part about giving users and estate owners the tools to handle some sort of self-governance, either a bright shining example of citizen involvement or a crass attempt to push abuse and governence issues off of the Linden plate once and for all, depending on your point of view. Whatever happened to it? |

You can take any of the top 3 canididates from either of the two main parties and the policies will stay the same. More war, higher taxes, more government control of our lives. Anyone who would change this is ignored or disparaged by the main stream media, see the treatment Ron Paul is given. If I remove my consent, then it is no longer my government. Heh. The Dems want to pull out of Iraq you know, if that is what you wanted. The Reps want to stay in for a little longer. I do not recall the latest policy of the Dems concerning taxes, but the lower taxes put in by the "Evil One" (as most on here seem to call him) seem to still be on the books. I think they might be up for a vote shortly, I think. I do not recall now. If you want to vote for Ron Paul, vote for Ron Paul. Get others to do so. Drive up the desire. Newspaper readership is falling, the TV news is looked at as starting to be untrustworthy, journalists are falling below . . or maybe just above used car salesmen.
