From: Bradley Bracken The difference is that you were giving her all your attention which she craves. On the other hand, she responded favorably only inworld. Here, not so much. *shrug* I'm not going to turn down giving a bit of friendly advice or help, but that's just me. I don't give people lindens unless I'm tipping, but I'm happy to give whatever other help I can offer. I prefer to teach a person to fish, you know?

From: Sredni Eel I prefer to teach a person to fish, you know? Wish your PM was enabled...You're forgetting two things. 1. You are male. 2. We all did also try to teach/offer advice in addition to $L help. Glad you had a different type of encounter.

From: Sredni Eel I prefer to teach a person to fish, you know? There are 1000 people in SL right now, who "deserve" to be "taught to fish"....in SL. They will treat you graciously and appreciate your time and efforts. They will brighten your day, and they may become a friend, and give you more than you gave them. There's nothing wrong with giving someone an additional tool that makes the fishing more fun, and is passed on to some others....making their fishing more fun. If you're old enough to log into SL, or even old enough to use a computer and type...you should know kindness and appreciation. You can't teach that to someone this late in the game. There's a limited amount of time for each of us to spend with others, and I prefer to start with the other 1000 first. I don't always make a call based on how someone treats me.....but I do make a definite call on how someone treats others. Treating one person nicely on few brief occasions while being nasty to a dozen others....doesn't cut the mustard with me. I wouldn't teach that person to fish out of respect for the people that they disregarded, who were caring human beings. I would rather teach a caring human being to fish, so that they will bless the other caring human beings. Imagine the force that would spread throughout a number of individuals....rather than stopping in it's tracks with one. Knowing that, and respecting that concept.....is in itself, as much of our responsibility as the actual teaching to fish.

From: Lindal Kidd Now just a minute there. Phil is a dirty rotten traffic bot runner (well, a forcibly reformed one)...but I wouldn't call him a freak. Don't concern yourself with it. I think that annna must have heard about the huge size of my.... er ......... and thought I was offering pictures of that - hence "freak"

From: annna Deed Too bed,you don't have nothing in that huge brain. Aha! You might have hit the nail on the head there - so to speak. If I don't have nothing in my brain, I must have something in my brain. Are you in awe of the power of my brain? Is that why you think I'm a freak? Tell me something. Why do you have such a generally bad attitude towards other people?

From: Sredni Eel I prefer to teach a person to fish, you know? What's the saying? Something like, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach him to fish and you give him a hobby that you risk having him bore you about endlessly, but at least it gets him out of the house."

Now if they would just fish for scionchickens, everything would be alright

From: Phil Deakins Is that why you think I'm a freak? It's a compliment, dude. annna knows that the 40th anniversary of Woodstock is this month, and she's just exhorting you to let your freak flag fly! (Let's give the kid a break now, since we don't seem to be able to chase her back to the teen grid) .

From: annna Deed Well, just old people can remember that. World War Two happened a long time ago, too; twice as far back in time than Woodstock. Doesn't mean that only 'old people' know about it. There are such things as history books, TV programmes etc.
