But thanks for the little dig for trying to help you. *eye roll* Don't take it all so seriously. Also, anyone can be anything in SL, so if someone says to you they are 22, or you say to us you are 23, all anyone has is that person's word. You're running into one of the big cultural clashes in Second Life. You see, some people think of SL as Facebook, with 3D avatars. They want to know Real Life information about the people they're talking to. (Of course, even on Facebook, it's easy to fake information. But most people don't.) These "Facebookers" think it's silly when other people want to keep their RL information private...or they think the other person is hiding some secret. Other people like the anonymity of Second Life. They don't reveal any of their RL information, and don't ask other people to do so. They simply take each avatar as they present themselves. Are you a huge ancient dragon? Fine. A 25 year old fashion model? Great. The real person behind both those avatars might be an overweight 50 year old janitor, but who cares? What's important is how that person acts in SL. If you want to know RL information about someone, the politest way to ask is not to ask at all. Instead, volunteer something about yourself first. "I live in Warsaw. I'm studying law and I'll turn 24 next month." Then see if the other person responds with their own information. _____________________

Lindal you're right, most people who are into it as a chat room or Facebook adjacent app will usually say 'what are you hiding.' To me it's mental that anyone would expect me to share things like that when I've not so much as a clue who they are. _____________________
