Should this be a crime?

The thought of Lindens rutting is really a horrible thing to consider on only one cup of coffee. Would Phil take off his sequined codpiece?

It's the circle of life, Oryx. Didn't you ever see The Lion King? Look - there are birds and there are bees. Bees make honey and birds lay eggs. Some stuff happens between the daddy birds and the mommy birds, and honestly, I'm not sure what goes on in the beehive, but I bet it's entertaining. Eventually, there are more little birds and bees. If the Lindens didn't go into rut occasionally, there wouldn't be any little Lindens running around. I'm just advocating a sustainable harvest, that's all. Frankly, if the offense in the blotter had been "Shooting a Linden Out of Season" I would have laughed hysterically.

I was at a Linden Dunking charity event about 6 months ago.. Had no idea it was scheduled, just happened to be in Torley's office, just as she was heading off to it. It was a lot of fun. Probably 25 or so Lindens there, lining up for a turn in the dunk tank. I got at least a dozen of them wet..

I have a really funny 'fart jesture' I could use in thier presence, aiming it at the nearest Linden, and watch them all topple and gag; it's so loud and powerful (with a green kind of smell to it), and it makes my avi fall forward from the backfire. much more effective than throwing tomatoes or cabbage.
(but who am I kidding...I secretly adore the lindens...Shhhhhhh don't tell anyone!)

If memory serves, there was a big snowball fight involving Lindens last Christmastime.

I forget where I was early on in my life here at SL but one day when I was just learning to walk, fly, and explore, I stumbled upon a very elegant Sim with sprawling modern office buildings. It wasn’t two minutes when one of the Lindens walked past me without even a word between us, just a blank cold stare. Dang! I didn't even know who a Linden was at the time, luckily I didn't say anything OOC, and didn’t yell, fart, or anything a NOOB would normally do. I noticed the people around me stopping what they were doing and stared at him as he disappeared into the distance... So, are they like, GODS...the Lindens? Who are the local deities in SL? Will I get in trouble for asking?

I suppose the penalty would be more severe for * Linden Poaching*....?

The feeling is mutual, but of course, I am stuck waiting for that prim purse to load. Then I have to attach it, which, after about 5 or 10 minutes, results in one of a variety of error or timeout messages. Then I attempt to attach it again, only to be told that an attachment is already pending for that spot (but I thought it just gave me an error on that previous attachment). Finally, in complete frustration, I abandon the purse idea, pull my shoes and hair out of my rear and throw them at the Linden instead.

I've never even seen one! so i guess i just have to believe that they exist...

SL is getting more like WOW every minute! I've been killed, and now we have a guild of mythical characters (the Lindens)!

Yes, every year for the past few, there have been snowball fights at the Linden lodge. It's an event in conjunction with the winter festival where residents are alloted a parcel of land to do builds.

I haven't heard any announcements so far for this year though , but I still have my original snowball from the first one at the ready

I've seen them so rarely that I think they are probably an endangered species - probably no more that a couple of hundred left in the wild. I'd recommend giving the Linden a protected status and consider a captive breeding programme.

I don't think you could shoot a Linden even if you wanted to.

They're never around.
