I've seen them so rarely that I think they are probably an endangered species - probably no more that a couple of hundred left in the wild. I'd recommend giving the Linden a protected status and consider a captive breeding programme. I think we may have to be careful with that, they might resist capture and do themselves some damage. _____________________

OH and I forgot to say, (and this really happened too...honest) One time on Rasta Island (where I hang out ladies) I saw what I thought was one of the Lindens standing there with his name above him and everything... At that point I (finally realizing who the Lindens were) approached this Linden dude and said "Hey what's up?" and he kept on standing there like he was suffering from lag. So I walked around him, and lo and behold, it was just a cut out! I was talking to a CUT OUT!!! It was cleverly done to include his name over his head...boy was I fooled! _____________________

My mummy always told me that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar - though why you would want to catch flies is beyond me. From the blotter. Well, I think there should be some sort of regulated season - for example, when the Lindens are in rut, we need to leave them be. It's nature's way, after all. But other times of year, it shoul be ok to shoot one. We could open up the bow hunting season first, then the muzzle loaders, and finally the rest of the rifle/machine gun/howitzer folks could blast away at what's left. I really think that LL could make some dough by selling Linden tags. K I shot me a Linden, where do I collect my bounty? |

Actually, since a Linden actually posted in the thread on the new Search, I feel bad about talking about hunting them. I really have to give them kudos for looking for input on a feature. So if any of them happen to read this, I hope they understand that we're just goofing on them a little. Besides, Trouts don't eats no Lindens! Trouts eats bugz! _____________________

Anyway, we've moved beyond hunting Lindens (who ever said anything about eating them? Ewwww!) to breeding them in captivity in an effort to repopulate the species.
