Linden ID cards?

I have to wonder where certain people are going that they collect all these bans and ejections... I've been banned from exactly 2 locations that I know of, both times by "security" scripts that were set to ban everyone not in their list.

You know, your right about that. I train and hire lots of hosts - the ones that keep hosting long term are the older ones. The younger ones don't usually want to stick to any schedule long term - while the older ones have been living with schedules for some time now and their lives are more settled.

AFAIK, I've never been banned from anywhere, but the questions and comments (and I suspect, if it came to that, the bans and ejections) arise at predictable places: Clubs.

And let's call a spade a spade: it happens specifically at the sort of club where some of the patrons are looking over the crowd for potential cybering partners. What I think it amounts to is that for some, if an avatar looks younger than their ideal cybering partner, that avatar simply must be too young-looking to be allowed in such places.

Honestly, I've never had to face that scenario, myself. Except, that one time with you... And we were on land you couldn't ban me on so it boiled down to "meh" anyway. (=_=)

So far, the only parcel bans I know of in my name were all done by a particular mad blogger. And, mostly over fear that I'll probably particle spam the place or crash the sim. Can't say I've ever done that, either... Don't really know how. Oh... And they're all PG sims. (^_^)y

But, I believe bans based on false accusations are real. I saw it happen to my former dollie once. She was visiting a BDSM club to vote for her friend in a contest. She was in an EGL clockwork doll avatar and had no less than 5 people on her at once, in all caps, calling her a "kid" and requesting she leave. She and I were the same height at the time, but, I guess her frilly dress was what crossed the line. Though... That frilly dress ~was~ an adult style... I made an effort to explain her appearance to them, but, they were already hell bent on attacking her with no intent on listening to reason. At that point, in my eyes, they were A-holes. (>.<

So, yes, I will call people that do this A-holes. Not because they're protecting their investment from the risks of perceived (Sexual)ageplay. I have no problem with that. It's a matter of the Linden Lab TOS/CS. They become A-holes in my eyes the moment they accuse an avatar of being what it's not and fail to listen to reason while they cave in to their own passion about "right and wrong". (=_=)

hehe, just got someone in voice saying "oh great another child avatar!" and i asked her to read my profile, which she did out loud in a mocking tone and ended it before reading the whole thing with "blah blah blah" and said "listen hunny nomatter what your profile says your avatar obviusly dipicts an underaged boy" then started laughing with her male posse, you know, those "yes" men trying to get some cyber time with her? XD

Hi Innula, I was referring to the picture of Immy she posted on page #1, post #14. Every time someone posts anything about a youthful avatar Immy feels obligated to go for the shock value with her 'barely legal kink avatar' (her words, not mine) showing the entire lower part of a teenager's breast and part of her areola. I assure you that no parent would approve of their child walking around like that - even if they were 'barely' 18.

I just think its unnecessary to be so offensive about such an sensitive subject. I admit I did post a picture of Immy in front of adult content. But when someone pointed it out to me I deleted the link from my post and apologized. I do not feel any need to attempt to prove my point by using images that may incite and/or offend people.

Not "barely 18"... "Barely legal"... Which means "Recently turned 18". Which means "Legal to the industry standard". Which mean "No longer legally a child". (^_^)

I mean... What ~do~ people do on their 18th and 21st birthdays. Those cutoff days were HUGE celebrations for everyone I knew. Heck... Even Linden Lab moves 18 year olds to the main grid on their birthday. On that day, the RL 18 year old can dive in head first to the wild and wooly worlds of porn. Since a real person can do it, why can't an avatar? (^_^)

Sorry. No children here. You may want to parade your agenda around some actual child avatars if you want to get anything accomplished. Or not... Since the vast majority aren't doing anything that harms you anyway. (^_^)y

Yup... I went to a Best in Black event yesterday. Is a country/western club. Had one person who first asked in IM, and then started stating in open chat how horrible it was that people had to come as children.



Does that look child to you? Or even human? Thankfully the Hostess told the guy to hush up, I was not a child, and he was being the disruptive one. He kept up, he got kicked.. YAY

I can't really judge from your profile picture whether they're being reasonable or crazy, but I'm wondering where you're going to get these reactions?

I have gotten similar reactions in at least 5 establishments that are adult/club venues - and kicked/banned from 2 of them.

My avatar PRIM height is 5'6". I have over 80 tats on my avatar body and my face is pierced to the extreme and yet I was told i look 13-15 even with my pierces and tats on 2 separate occasions by different people. They think i look 13-15 years old!!

Of course this is not happening at discussion group events. It is happening at adult clubs & adult hang outs, etc.

Those *bastards*! Let's banish them all to some remote spot where they can't offend our good, upstanding citizens.

Maybe it's just the sort of places I visit, but I think of clubs as being music, dancing, or other entertainment. People may meet and go elsewhere for cybersex, but the clubs themselves don't have any - and hence shouldn't be paranoid about kid avs.

The reason I asked is if you believe your av should be considered over 18, but you're getting hassles, then one strategy is to go to find that sort of meeting place, and start making friends. Then go with them to the sex places, so that you'll have other people to back up your age.

In my experience, that wouldn't help very much: generally, the ones who want to make an issue of it would get even more pleasure from the issue expanding to others.

I must say, yesterday marked a first for me: an obsessively dancing French lady tried to adopt me during a Linden office hour. Evidently I was the second smallest human avatar in attendance, after Marianne.

I've shown up to a fair number of clubs with my kid av, or other avs 5'6" and under (my RL height)... I guess I'm just not that noticeable.

When I get people who are aggressive about adopting me (even though I am thousands of years older than they are), I tell them the adoption fee is L50k, and my weekly allowance is L15k... they tend to go away after that..
