Even when I tried to cut down on my coffee, my coworkers would bring it to me before they would tell me what was currently broke that they wanted me to fix.

Drama, more than likely -- and LL did not want to try to manage/moderate it. Yes, an additional forum---and you know it would be busy---WOULD call for many more person-hours of moderating. ![]() |

Showing your ignorance again? Pep (No chocolate nor bacon sandwiches? I now understand why you are so bitter and desperate) Actually Pep, just to rub it in just a teeny bit you ray of sunshine you, but thank God, Ive had a successful week in real. It's been a great time and I feel absolutely in love with what I do. I know I've done good for people and I had a great Friday afternoon also. I am not bitter. I am not desperate. I am alive and I wanna stay that way. If you've got a job I hope you had teh same happiness. In fact, I really really really wish you a happy weekend with your wife and all teh little Peps. I mean it. Enjoy the snow and keep warm. Find a nice slice of cheese and snuggle down in front of teh telly. Or a good book if you are inclined to read. Be happy. Be glad. In fac, even take heart with your sarcasm. Practise it on Saturday when you go shopping. Really, enjoy life as much as you can. Jig Chippewa._____________________

Vacillating extremely quickly eh? The tenor of this post is *very* different from the one you deleted after my last but one post here! Yes, I saw it before you remove the evidence. Pep (It is a female prerogative to be fickle though) Yes pep you ar eright. But then I thought better of it. I have just got back from visiting a friend in ral who is goign t have a major operation tomorrow. She is a very wise woman. I dont wish to mar or harm the snese of serenity and cheerfulnes she gave me when I left. An old English woman from north of England who facing possible death is plantign her primula seeds and watching rugby on her TV. She makes me ashamed of my angers and my frustrations. You ever had that kinda feeling Pep? You know? Humility? _____________________

I suppose I could feel ashamed of your angers and frustrations I suppose, if I really tried. Pep (I think I will leave it to you though) This forum is Not "Jig and Pep Hour". I have to drive far tomorrow Pep and must be prepared for bad roads and bad weather. I shall leave teh forum to others for now. So should you. Sriously Pep, I hope you do have a good weekend. Think fo a real friend of mine who faces a mastectomy bravely and with a sense of her place in teh universe. She was telling me about Durham cathedral when I finally left. That's where she will be in her dreams tonight. Dont reply Pep to this. Please. _____________________

I'd put a general forum back in but make threads there have a three hour life. I'd actually give money to a person to moderate the board. If you post too much on the board or stay logged in to watch the threads for too long the board would keep you from logging in for a few hours. Create more sub-sections for the content creation tips. Make links work again. Make smaller categories for the new products and announcements.

If you post too much on the board or stay logged in to watch the threads for too long the board would keep you from logging in for a few hours. So basically anything more than you think is acceptable? Create more sub-sections for the content creation tips. It is hard enough to get good answers in those forums as it is without cutting it up more. Make smaller categories for the new products and announcements. Which would make it even harder to find things people are interested in. _____________________

Hey, I'm just posting what I would do if I were responsible for the forums. Clearly I should be kept far away from any kind of forum management but I'd like to see what would happen if I ran it a certain way. And for posting too much I mean someone posting too much during a single day or something. I was thinking of ways to take the 'edge' off some of the more prolific posters and open the forums up to a more casual audience and increase posts by them.
Also I would immediately ban Damien1. |

A cap on the number of posts per day (or hour?) would be interesting. I wonder if it would result in better, more informative posts and fewer flames.
In practice, probably not: just more and better alts. [Linden™] Oh! I know! I know! We don't have to limit posts. We can just make the Forums ugly and decrepit! That will discourage people from posting too often! [/Linden™] |
