Here I am at the Charmed & Bound mansion (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Akoni/78/63/23/). I got caught in a snare in the attic, where the book is, took me a while to escape.

I used to get them on my fingers when I was a kid. Then one of my step-daughters had the same thing. We got otc topical stuff for her that worked very well.

These are all fabulous! Especially the flying witch and the pirate ship.

Thanks! I carved the pirate ship (arrrrrr!) yesterday morning, and carved the witch on one of those "fake" pumpkins (I think it's called a Funkin) about 4 years ago. I have about 4-5 carved Funkins that I store from year to year, and yank 'em out on Halloween to supplement the "real" pumpkins I carve each year.

I haven't seen one of those Funkins in person yet, but what a great idea.

Last night the party went very well , for the short time I was there anyway. I hope the voice didn't keep anyone away. There was no pressure to use it if a person didn't want to. Unfortunally I will probably have to use voice for another 3 to 4 weeks. I do want to thank all those involved in pulling the event off and everyone who did voice so I didn't have to stand around mute. We are looking toward the Christmas party now. If someone wants to host a November party, just let us know.

Thanks again to all my many friends who make SL the special place it is.

Hi Threaderpeoples! G'morning, g'evening, g'whatever it is where ya is. I hope yer Hallowe'en-ish weekend was super.

Mine was busy, which is prob'ly no big surprise. Was a whole lotta stuff t'get do.

I spent a lotta time prowling the corn field, spotting Lindens an collecting bears. I got 16 "new" bears, though two of them weren't new at all - they were bears I'd lost a long time ago to the asset monster who eats our inventories for snacks. So I'm glad to once again have a Governor Linden Bear and an Adam Linden Bear. Both are about impossible to get 'cuz the Gov doesn't hand out bears, an Adam has been gone from Linden Lab since 2006.

I also took tons of piccies of all them in the corn, an a couple of me too. Here's one with me and M Linden. He's the shorter of th' two.



Halloween night I went out tricker treating, an also had some tricker treaters show up at th' door in Shermerville. We ended up with lotsa candy, some dancing (both with music an with the "thriller dancer" thingy) an even a firework or two. It was fun. Here's some of the crowd at the door now!



Sunday include the sorta traditional Tri-City Halloween parade, a collaboration between Bay City, Nova Albion, and the suburbs. We all march an end up on the Shermerville bridge, where we eventually jump off, all the while dancin' an makin' noise, an fighting the lag. Here we all are on the bridge, mid-span:



It was not all fun and games. A friend of mine, Kenzie Reyna, has been sick for a while, an was on a waiting list for a lung transplant. Her wait is over, but not in the good way. She passed away last week. Her family and friends help a memorial. A fairly upbeat one - much like Kenzie was - celebrating Kenzie's life.



This week was also the end of Burning Life. The event itself ended last week, but we had one more week of just the builds up without any events, for those who jes wanted to see all that was built without as much lag. But all good things end, so we packed up the trucks, blew up the entranceway (an then cleaned it up so we'd "leave no trace" an headed for home. Burning Life was so so very good this year. Sad to see it end.



And that's the weekend. On to next week!

Sorry I missed the party, but not really sorry because I was somewhere very wonderful in RL instead. The pictures look great and it would have been nice to hear and be heard on voice. Hope everyone is doing well. I think 3 and I are planning on having a party on Nov. 7th (omg that's this saturday...) on our mainland parcel. Will try to get a notice out to the cartel group.

There, opposite the former World Trade Center site, USS NEW YORK (LPD-21) will dip her colors, fire a 21-gun salute to the people of her namesake city and state, and proceed to Pier 88 to be formally inducted into the United States Navy at a shipboard ceremony next Saturday.

Members of the Fire Department of New York, the New York Police Department, the NY/NJ Port Authority Police, members of 9/11 victims' families and military service veterans will gather onshore at New York’s World Financial Center early this morning to return the salute.
