One of the only two pictures I took today at Art Box, I think, that is "PG"

Oh, and don't worry about the arm. As you can see, I've entered a cartoon world there. In scenes that I was not able to capture on film, my arm fell off and a bunny and a duck ran up and started playing with it. Then a giant rooster walked up and reattached my arm for me.

@Tex- sorry about your ceiling, that is a major bummer. Hope you were able to at least stop the leak right away.

@Mo- the guacamole and Mexican food looks YUMMY, but you can have my share of that tabbouleh. It looks revoltingly healthy.

@Claire- hiya! Good to see you and glad you are doing well so far at uni.

@3- so when's the party?

i'm thinking Oct 18 at the hangout. maybe early, like... 10 am so Claire can join us :D

/me groans

Most of my plans for the weekend were shot to hell. I had thought all this week that I was fighting off the flu, but yesterday I realized I HAD it - a mild case - and now I'm recovering. So I go from feeling fine to being exhausted and this fever comes and goes. I'm incredibly tired but can't go to sleep.

It's really weird feeling restless and exhausted at the same time.

Suddenly the sun came out, so I walked around the block, which was the high point of the weekend.

And I keep getting a craving to eat or drink something... but I don't know what. Coffee, which I usually love, tastes very strange.

I'm going to heat up some chicken soup, but I know that's not it.

Hope the rest of you had fun.

Oh, we did get a new TV with a DVR, so that's fun. And last night a good friend came over for dinner, which was also good, but I was falling on the floor by the end of the night.

i hope you are feeling better by now,

i always know when i am "truly" sick when hot cocoa smells like urine to me. cant explain it, but thats how i guage "real" illness

Is your birthday Oct. 17? (That was my mom's birthday.)

From: Tex Nasworthy
It's been raining here all day. About two hours ago we notice a huge wet spot on the front room ceiling. So into the attic I go.

After about an hour and a half of crawling around in the attic on my hands and knees and pulling up insulation I find the culprit.

A plumbing leak!

Oh, did I mention this is the room where we just repaired ceiling sheetrock and repainted.

I hope everyone is having a better weekend than I am.

/me grumbles off to bed

PS: At least the kitty pics made me smile. :)
You poor dear. But actually I think a leak in the roof would be worse. Anyway I hope it's all behind you now or soon.

I promised in the group chat that I'd let you have the bird that sits on the fence at the hangout. Since it has an orange breast. I believe that is how that is stated, has an orange breast? Well, its feathers in the body region are orange. The rest is bluish. Blue-ish.

Oh, I was wondering. Roughly 3 hours of sleep last night and it is almost 1 am here now. Wondered why I was babbling. um. I really am tired. I told that person on SCii to go fondle themselves several times (the one insistant on thread purity and on-topicness). I just recalled I never actually said that. So I am only babbling here. I thought it very loudly, though!

Would it sound shallow & egotistical of me to state that I have an upcoming date with a 26 yr old LPN who's working on her RN and then MSN???

YAY!! FINALLY!!! A woman with the urge to move BEYOND a minimum wage job at a mall !!!!

Sorry folks... Had to brag. :p

An ugly old man sat down in the confessional.

"What do you have to tell me?" said the priest.

"I'm a truck driver, and yesterday I picked up a gorgeous 19 year old Swedish blonde hitchhiker and in exchange for a ride to Tennessee she slept with me. It was great!"

"That'll be one Hail Mary and you must remain celibate for one week, then."

"I don't think so, I am not even a Catholic."

"Well, why are you here telling me, then?"

"Hell, I'm telling everyone!" :D

G'night, all! G'mornin All, too! That's the fun of all these time zones!

At the beginning of the weekend, I asked what fun things everbuggy would be doin'. I hope ya all managed t'get to them an stuff!

F'r myself, it was another weekend of workin' on Burny Life stuff. It;s two weeks 'til, which would be "crunch time," 'cept really mine is about done. It's jes polishing now. Well, that and experimenting and learning. Picking up some new scripting, sculpting, and texturing tricks. Really, it's one of the parts of Burning Life that happens during the build process that I wish more could experience.

We're not allowed so much to post "spoilers" of other people's work, but I can tell you that I've seen things out on the virtual playa that are well worth checking out, and are better than anything I've seen at Burning Life in any previous year. The level of art that many are bringing to it is amazing. I also like that the Burning Life "Art Department" has been doing some classes for those attending, helping us to learn way to make our builds less lag inducing so that all ya'll will have a far better experience.

Now they said no spoilers, but they said "teasers" of yer own stuff are okay, so here's a teaser close-up of my own build:

And a portrait of yours truly, all in my dust-fighting desert gear:

And a shot proving that its not all serious while we build on the desert. It's a moment of silly, with 18 folks doing a mass "thriller" dance on the playa. Just 'cuz:

I actually did not spend the entire weekend on site. I also got some time to have a sleepover with some friends who are staying with their families on the S.S. Galaxy. Here we are goofin' around outside of their cabin.

An because Hallowe'en is comin up, a dark, moody piccie of the gates of the Channel Island Asylum. Still an awful spooky place.

And that's the weekend! Hope everyone has a super week ahead!

LOL i would venture to guess that most of what comes out of my brain in these early hours (3:20 am here currently) is babble, so i relate. :)

and you are soooo sweet!!! you are giving me a prezzie? :o i can't wait to go to the hangout and meet my new pet bird. thank you. :) does orange bird have a name? i can't be trusted to name him myself. cuz, i tend to name things in SL after office supplies. (Bodhi would be proud) :D

I have been working on a specialty avatar. This is what I have so far.

She still needs eyes and I am debating on goat feet for her as well, but not sure yet if I want to do that.

can not remember the actress's name but the one who played buffy the vamp slayer... the face reminds me of her's

And good morning everyone!

@Claire: Hi! Glad you're enjoying Uni!

@Seven: :( Hope you feel better soon.

@Lexxi: Get that arm fixed while still in cartoon land. If you leave early, that could sting!

@3: Happy Birthday! (Do I get to say that every day of your festival? :D )

/me tucks his ears under his carpenter's hat.

I guess I have a little home improvement project to take care of. Have a great day all!

ETA: @Mari: How could I forget! Thanks for your weekend update! I have such fun hearing about yours.

Oh!!

And the auction I won was for a 1536sqm bit of water on a mature sim. It has access to Linden ocean. That's why I bought it.

Don't have any real plans for it yet though. A water-level dock, and/or sky-level workshop.
