frankly, I was fascinated with the "wine-in-the-box" version of the coffee dispenser.

I don't know much about coffee, but I'm wondering how that would taste...

I have never, nor will ever, drink wine from a box.

If I drank coffee....I'm thinking it's still a good policy to keep.

It tastes like Starbucks. We get it like that for meetings often. The coffee is not stored in the bag-in-a-box container. It is brewed normally and then poured into the container for delivery. The box also adds a little bit of insulation to keep the coffee hot.

You can get the same from Seatles Best, Nestle's Tollhouse or just about any other coffee place I know of, tho I am not certian about Tim Hortons.

In any case ...

Good morning, everyone. Happy hump day.

On a sad note:

In Pittsburgh, over the weekend, a 5 yr old boy was shot being used as a Human Shield by an 18 yr old during a drug deal gone bad.

YET- there is a BIG $5000 reward for any info to stop dog fighting while nothing is really being done for the death of a 5 year old.

While I hope those responsible for the death of this child suffer agony & pain beyond human imagine....

What is everyone's take on this? SHould a DOG'S life take precendence over a CHILD??? Has society become this desensitized?

And yes, I have a 5 year old Niece & 2 yr old Nephew. Harm them & you'll know what Hell is all about.

I know that if someone hurt my niece, nephew, or god child, I would put a bullet through their brain in the courtroom.. would not even try to hide the fact that I was taking their miserable idiot self out.

(service dogs probably more than cockroaches).

Cockroaches don't seem to need rescuing. They seem to have done quite well on their own for a long, long time.

I think we need a "What's New on the Forums" newsletter.

Jig got a personal assistant, and one of the PA's duties apparently is to start threads for Jig. The first of these was "Help me prove that I am not Jig's alt"

Then she started the same thread the next day, which provoked a spate of derivative threads (these are actual titles):

- Help me prove I'm not Immy's alt
- Help me prove I am not Phil Deakin's alt
- I am available to be your alt
- Help me prove that I am not available to be your alt
- Help me prove that I am an alt - just don't know whose :(
- Please help me prove that I haven't made a thread about not being someone's alt
- Help me prove that all these alt threads are making me lose my mind!
- No need to prove you are all insane!
- Guess the Alt!

and maybe others that I missed.

We're just about 200 posts from 100,000.

ETA - oh, never mind. (math brain kicked in)

ETAA - good thing I didn't get excited about it

Did he do the one about the saber-toothed tiger and the cavemen eating bushes (SIC - this was a clean record from the days when bushes were just small trees, okay?) I always loved that story.
 Oh geez, now I'll never be able to listen to that the same way again, Mr. Gutter-mind.

Anyway, that sketch is "Neanderthal Man" from the album "I Started Out As A Child".

/me grabs the coffee and half and half and hides under the table, letting the others' debate about the political ramifications of which coffee shop to buy from drone on while she drinks all the coffee

The definitions would seem to be mutually exclusive, but then again, human emotions don't always follow logic.
