The ironic thing, to me, is that I had stopped posting there a while back. Then "everyone" wandered over there and I went from something like 72 posts to 188. Now everyone leaves  Lol Lexxi...the ironic thing is, that after listening to some of the stuff over there, Pep doesn't seem half bad   ETA: I don't think I will ever complain about him again... _____________________

Ya know...
Ever since I got glasses for reading & doing close up work (getting older sucks), I've realized that I really HATE having to wear them at times. Since it magnifies my vision I find myself misjudging distances. Bumping into stuff. LOL! Trying to grab something & having my hand slam into it. What REALLy sucks is when I was told I'll be needing bi-focals in about 5 years. BLAH! "Youth is wasted on the Young" _____________________

Those of you who didn't like SC might like the slapt.me forums. I've spent a fair amount of time over there, and while there aren't many from this crowd (ppl who frequent the undying thread) over there, it is pretty tame and civil.
And *that* is a very nice thing. Lord Sullivan and Constanza Amsterdam (and some others) actively moderate. The only weird thing is that you have to log in through the Marketplace, and the login form is way over on the right (which is out of my browser window). But if you are always logged in, it won't be a problem. . |

(I think? It's kinda quiet here....)Important safety tip...or...How Not To Have A Date. (In honor of last month's thread) Last night I made a plan: 1. Go to the Bay City Airport 2. Rez my 2-seat biplane 3. Send for my date 4. Do some serious flying 5. ??? 6. Profit! How did it all work out? 1. Well...after 3 attempts at teleporting, Bay City Airport was having a dance party. 110% Lag, couldn't even walk, let alone get to the rez area. FAIL...and head home. (0/10) Find a 5-sim private area that has an aircraft carrier...FUN! Ok..new venue...on to #2 2. Worked! Yay! (10/10) 3. Worked! Yay! (10/10) 4. Erm...lag. Sim crossings send me spinning and hurtling through the ground, off sim. when I bounce back, my plane is stuck in some trees. Then...a blue warning box. "*Kinky Mistress* says you are not allowed here. You have 20 seconds to comply" My plane is stuck, *Kinky Mistress* is screaming at me, date is snickering (hehe). 20 seconds later..poof. I'm ejected from the plane, and knocked 2 sims over. Date is still stuck in plane, *Kinky Mistress* seems to ignore her, and then she can't stand up. Now plane is stuck, date is stuck, I'm banned. I TP home. Date tries, and crashes. Plane is returned to inventory. And quietly...date night ends. *shakes fist* Kinky Mistress...you win this round. But I'll be back! Oh yes...I'll...be...back! (0/10) In other news, it could be worse: PASADENA, Texas - Authorities say a Houston-area woman who was burned up at her former common-law husband fried their pet goldfish and ate some of them. _____________________
