I'm with you, Lil. One of the things I like about SL is that I can wear summer clothes and never feel cold.

And explore the bottom of the sea in street clothes! :p

Great pictures you have there :)

---
Shots from this weekend . . .
Had lots of fun playing with Soen's toys. Balloon, cage thingie that I batted off the hook and pushed around like a hamster ball . . .

(I was too active runninag around pushing things, and the things around me were too active to get good pictures)

Rode elephant with Cee at command . . .

Oh, that's a cool gizmo of Soen's! Great pic.

And I did love Cee and Litta's elephant. :)

G'mornin an G'night, Threaderpeoples! I hope everybuggy had a super-fantastic weekend!

Mine was good, with a whole lot more Burning Life building to go!

Here's a sneak peek at my camp again: one of the signs at the entrance:

And here's a peek at the camp's "surrey," based on the RL surrey bicycle used at the 2009 Burning Man's "KidsVille" camp. It's one of my big influences for my camp:

and jes cuz, a piccie of me an Johnny at th' camp, jes talkin an plannin stuff. We sooo shoulda been out of the sun an stuff:

Not all my time was spent at th' camp, though. I did take a moment or two to do a couple kinda vanity portrait piccies of m'self, jes cuz. Here's one that came out purty good, I think:

And this one, which was my more pensive piccie, as I try t'figgure out the answer to something that's been a trouble f'r a couple months:

Not much else t'report this weekend, jes plannin an buildin' f'r Burny Life! Have a super week, all!

Yay!!! Mari's weekend update is here. *smiles*

Can't wait to see your camp, Mari. *smiles in anticipation*

Breakfast looks great, but puppies are sick this morning. I knew I shouldn't have got into that human food last night.

Why do I feel guilty for being sick when I call in? Could it be the 74 degree, partly sunny forecast? And on a Monday?

What an inconvenient society we live in.

awwww...*rubs Weston behind his ears*

I'm sorry you're not feeling well.

And yes...it's very frustrating when one is really sick on a Monday....as I was, last week!

*hugs*

How about a nice cup of tea?

good morning kids.

/me waves to Tex.

Weston, i hope you feel better.

Josh n Brann both look great in those jackets.i went to go see if they had other colors last night (which was actually earlier this morning), but decided not to buy anything, even though i did see a great long coat i may go back and snag later today.

my Prince Chester handsome meowed ALL NIGHT, the house is as hot as an oven, and i'm somewhat hungover from a stupid decison to drink too much wine on a sunday night. i bet i slept all of 3 hours, none a solid block. ugh celebrating comes with a price. today is going to be a loooooooong day.

that breakfast looks great. i'm sure i have coffee and a coffee maker, but i haven't a clue what box they might be in. so, cranberry juice and a chicken sammich for breakfast for me. LOL

Josh, Brann, Brenda - really like the pics.

Mari - thanks for the update and love the sign. Make sure you tell us where your build is when it's ready.

Last night I finished reading a short story "The Dreamers" by Isak Dinesen (Karen Blixen) that is just amazing and has some relevance to SL. I can't tell you what or I'd completely spoil the story for you... there is a great very quotable piece at the end, but again it's a complete spoiler.

Then I picked up Caresse Crosby's autobiography "The Passionate Years" - she's another woman from the early twentieth century (like Anais Nin), and I am loving it. The first ten or twenty pages weren't so great, but now it's underway.

I'm suddenly reading a lot, and the reason is this: my mother has such a negative attitude toward SL that it really spoils things if I have to fight to be there, and I find she's a lot nicer if I sit with her in the evenings. It's nice for me too because sometimes she starts talking.

Usually though, she watches TV. But she wants me there. So I started sitting nearby, reading, and that seems enough for her. She can talk if she wants, she knows I'm not inworld, I get to read again, so... it's good.

Good morning, Rhonda; I hope you slept well. :)

I slept like a baby :)
I woke up early and well rested. I even made a good breakfast for the family. So far it is a good day at the Huntress house.

This was shown across the street, I think it is quite beautiful.

YouTube - Andre Rieu - Il Silenzio (Maastricht 2008) DIGITAL TV

Il Silenzio is the Italian version of Taps. The Trumpeter is 13 years old. :)

Ok, so am I the only STRAIGHT male glued to TV watching the season premiere of Desperate Housewives??? :D

WHY CAN'T MY FEMALE NEIGHBORS BE THAT HOT!!!!!! :(

/me raises hand, well I'm not a male, straight or otherwise but I was there. Tell me, why is everyone blaming Susan and no one blaming Mike? Including Katherine? This is all Mike's fault you know.

As for your question though, yeah, my husband was there too, it's his favorite show.

amazing, simply amazing.

Listening to her made me think back to high school when I babysat for a family with 4 girls who were ages 3, 5, 7, and 9. They all played the violin...beautifully.

It was...humbling! :p
