Flamethrowers are much faster, and gets rid of the insects also! :)

yes, but I would lose all my clothing.....and that would be bad.

Also, I dont think the fire station or my neighbours would like it much.

Ok I have to ask.....why do you wait til it's dark out to do this hated chore? Might actually be pleasant in the warm sunshine.....

Thanks to everybody for letting me grab that number, it was mighty nice of y'all.

From: Claire Silverspar
I now have to go outside in the dark and bring in the dry clothes and put out the wet clothes from the washer.
I have to walk in the dark over snails and slugs, walk through bug infested grass, and mess with the washing line which is usually covered in spiders......which I can't see. So I will be swatting at my imagination thinking I'm covered in bugs for the rest of the night.
I will come in,. thoroughly shaken, fold the clothes after checking every inch for insect life, and then jump straight into the bath, after throwing my clothes straight into washer.

And this is all because mum is too ecoconcious to buy a tumble drier and one time I found a rather large spider had made a web in my hair without me noticing while I had been wandering around outside in the dark doing the washing thing and hadn't checked for bugs before sitting down for the evening.

Feel sorry for me :(

We've got this very compact folding rack for drying clothes inside. We use it in the warm months, but I think it would work even better in the winter when it's so dry in the house.

But I do feel sorry for you Claire!

How do you know when sour cream goes bad?

When it tries to drive in the driveway or park on the parkway.

Seriously though, it turns color - it isn't white any more, and it separates into clots. It also smells bad. (I worked in a kitchen when I was a teenager.)

See if your dog will eat it.

If he won't, it's bad. If he does, it's good.

Because mum never lets me do it during the day. She puts the washer on when she goes to bed, and asks me to hang it out before I go to bed.

Refuses to let me use the washer for anything other than my own stuff since last time I tried I shrunk her fave top and turned it a wierd grey blue.....she didn't tell me her jeans hadn't been washed before...all my clothes are colourfast so they go in one load lol.

ohhh if only....the noisy neighbour upstairs was sat in her window which overlooks the garden laughing at me dancing around trying to fight off the bug attacks. Do you want to come over and save me missing her? I'm sure you have a fab aim :p

The bugs are even hiding in my bath tub :(

Ah yes, I see. Totally understandable, now. This is the same reason my husband hasn't been allowed to touch the laundry for 12 years now. One mistake like that was all it took. And it's always someone else's clothes ruined, never the one doing the dreaded deed of packing them all in together. Well apologies to your mom, I totally get it now. (/me hands Claire can of Raid, special for spiders.....good luck dear. )
