We have both at work and WordPerfect beats the pants off of Word when it comes to formatting- much better interface - no guessing, the merges are smooth as silk, databases have treated me better but I admit I do not know Access as well so that might be a big difference. I do like that the Microsoft stuff all tlks to each other but WordPerfect has my vote over Word.


Two words: "REVEAL CODES"

(yeah, Microsoft *tried* to replicate it in later versions of Word, but...no. It's not nearly as good as WordPerfect's.)

Yeah, the REAL floppies -- the big ones that really were flexible, not those smaller hard ones they tried to call floppies later.

I checked with the High Priestess and she said it was OK to have one, as long as it wasn't really fancy, didn't put stupid , annoying ringtones on it and didn't use it to send text messages. I had to get a special dispensation for the camera on mine.

I have different ones for different people. (I know totally new fangled). A couple of the best: for my oldest son age 22 - Carry On My Wayward Son; for my sweetie - Bubbly.

I have different ringtones for different people also. For my wife, "Hot Blooded". Son's is "Darth Vader's Theme". Daughter's is "Fat Bottom Girls". I change them at Christmas and occasionally other holidays.
