Geek. Gettysburg was enthralling. The weather cut short my exploration a bit, but I did see a lot more than I did during my last visit. I did some brush up reading on the battle last week to have a fresh perspective. Gettysburg?? WHY?????? Its a Field!!!! Ok, some stone buildings & walls. To summarize the battle: North Vs South. Lots of fighting, shooting, dying. The North won, the South lost. We became 1 happy nation. The end!  When you have neighbors who do the re-enactment stuff, you get used to the sound of muskets going off in the back yard.  _____________________

I got dressed to go to Tut's tonight--- wore Egyptian dress- and when I put on the hair that i bought at the same time i enarl cared my self silly! The thing was covered in bling and shiny scripts- some were called sparkle - hell the creator actually put blue particles in it!! WTH were they thinking??? I could not get it all out for nothing - so in the end i decided a bald Cleo just wasnt right and i was not going to inflict the bling on anyone - no Tut for me tonight

i went looking for one once and bought from a guy that, judging by his search results, was one of the few people seemingly doing nothing but egyptian items. i bought an outfit from him and every last single prim had a local light enabled! hundreds of prims, each one a 20m full intensity local light
 i couldnt believe it. i dissected the headdress and disabled all the local lights then threw the rest in the bin.he was a 2004 av if i remember correctly. he should know better id think. What amazes me is how much hair has "glow" in it. Makes you look like your head is on fire in Windlight. Easy 'nuf to fix if mod ok. I love my Sirena hair with the cute animations and stuff but I keep forgetting to kill the facelight in it. Then I walk somewhere dark and pfft. Morning all. Snickers, I don't think I have any Sirena hair but recall reading somewhere that there are several facelights in it, which seems like overkill. Last night, Maureen and I failed miserably at watching a movie. I tried to surprise her...but...she owns the land, and what I used (a "rental" from an in-world store) needed me to be able to set the media stream on the land (which I can't). And the actual url was hidden..so she couldn't just type it in. And the "rental" was in my name, so giving her the player didn't work either. I suppose I could find some web space somewhere, and upload my own movie file. Then we could point to it. Ah well...we'll figure it out. Cheers everyone! _____________________

Easy enough if it didn't have 900 blings in it- hell, this one even has a blue particle emitter and i cannot get to the damn thing- figured i wd drop a scrubber on it- but it's no mod... so it let's me remove the bling scripts but have to find and remove one by one.
